    1. WE better start voting for the court if they are going to run our government. Did I really say vote? To hell with that voting does not work, abolish the court it is a cabal of communists that want to destroy freedom and Canada.

  1. Does red wine give you headaches? Buy a cheaper bottle, scientists say.

After testing about a dozen compounds found in red wine, findings from a team of researchers point to another culprit: quercetin, a compound found in grape skins.

Quercetin doesn’t only help prevent grapes from scorching in the sun. In humans, it’s a powerful antioxidant that may help protect against heart disease and cancer. But when alcohol is added to the mix, quercetin can cause headaches,

      1. VOWG – That may be part of the reason you are a VO WG. “it’s a powerful antioxidant that may help protect against heart disease and cancer” if you don’t add alcohol.

  2. OK, one more:

“Canada may not be broken but the federal government is all but broke and is clearly running out of steam.”

“As Albert Einstein once said, “Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn’t … pays it.” With growing public debt charges, expenditures are rising 13.6 per cent over the next three years, faster than revenues, which are forecast to grow only 12.2 per cent. Much of this spending growth is due to interest payments that are rising by almost a half to $53 billion in 2025/26. That is a ton of money — many tons of money — that could have gone to health care, defence or even, yes, general tax cuts.

        1. roaddog – two good clips and a video speaks louder than words rebuttal to Colonialista’s correction. He should know not to trust the media (from the first video clip).

          1. Clearly the video I posted is a closer the real event. Either way, what media did I trust?

    1. David – That is frickin’ hilarious! I have to send that to my friends and a few enemies.

    2. Stupid move by PP.

Your auditioning to become the Prime Minister and you feel the need to go off on a reporter? What’s the point? You need to be statesman like. Get some new handlers/advisors.

  3. The BBC, after railing against the right-wing rioters in Dublin, Ireland — angry that children at school were stabbed by a 40-something man — buries way down in the story that the perp is an immigrant who has been in Irelanvfor 20 years:
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-67516612

In the article, it is revealed that the Dublin police chief is a woke snowflake. So why is he shielding the petp’s name? One would think that If his name is Paddy O’Reilly he would release the name quickly to reduce discord.

    1. We don’t hate the media enough. Most headlines don’t even mention the man. Just a knife attack. Now what kind of knives target women and children specifically?

  4. Here is a tip
Cops in Ontario (and the rest of the country as far as I can tell) can legally pull over any car and force you to submit to a breathalyzer without any cause or suspicion. Refusal or failure to comply with a breath demand carries the following penalties: A mandatory minimum one-year driving prohibition/suspension for a first-time offender, and the judge can impose up to a three-year driving prohibition at their discretion. A mandatory minimum $2,000 fine.

I don’t remember voting for this.
AFAIK – its a federal thing – FJT.

    1. A blockade by the alliance of the most entitled mofos on Earth. A serious Polish government would use whatever level of force is necessary to end it, even lethal.

    2. Tempest in the teapot that orcs and UnMes are salivating about for different reasons. Military and humanitarian aid goes through. The matter will be resolved sooner or later just like the grain deal.

  5. I haven’t been too impressed by Danielle Smith’s government but she did something really good-she abolished a bunch of photo radar fishing sites.

    https://calgaryherald.com/news/politics/province-eliminates-photo-radar-ring-roads-stoney-trail

Apparently the province takes 40% of these tickets. It should be 100%. Lots of local governments in the US self-fund through fines and it’s ugly. The article ends on the kicker that the NDP was pressuring the government to do this in the first place.

      1. Better and better. Now let us have private healthcare already and end all post-secondary education subsidies/funding (yes that includes STEM and trades).

    1. Municipalities should get no fine revenue. It should go straight into provincial general revenues with no link to specific spending. Municipalities should enforce the law for protection of society, not revenue. Revenue generation leads to corrupt police.

  6. https://news.yahoo.com/zealands-coalition-targets-tax-cuts-090744737.html

New Zealand’s new government is finally here and it’s actually really good.

Critically, they reversed the central bank’s ‘dual mandate’ introduced in 2021, returning to only inflation-targeting. America’s fed has a dual mandate and it’s bad. They are also ending the banks on cigarette sales and offshore oil drilling. Gun liberalization less clear. Not mentioned in the story but very important is they are not implementing a ban on sale of property to foreign owners thank God. Leave that xenophobic trash in the trash.

  7. The Conservatives appear to have been baited into voting against extending the free trade agreement with Ukraine.

The libranos, clever people that they are, put the words ‘carbon pricing’ into a paragraph in the 30 chapter document. The Conservatives seized upon it and voted against extending the agreement. They are now scrambling to explain whether they support Ukraine or not? The Ukes themselves have said they are fine with the wording. Ukraine is trying to join the EU who have all kind of carbon tax laws.

Free trade with Ukraine was a Harper idea as was removing Putin from the G8. PP has undone a lot of goodwill and the Uke diaspora in the country will now be wary of the CPC.

    Smart move PP.

    1. But, but … PP did stand up to applaud an old Ukrainian nazi! Doesn’t that count for anything with the Uke diaspora?

    2. Yeah this is a mistake by the CPC. Not world-ending but it does go to show how destructive obsession with the carbon tax is. A carbon tax is not the end of the world. Get a grip and pursue perspective.

    3. “The Conservatives seized upon it and voted against extending the agreement. They are now scrambling to explain whether they support Ukraine or not? The Ukes themselves have said they are fine with the wording. ”

What does the word “commitment” mean to you? And what is the purpose of the obvious double-talk? Either you commit to it, or you don’t.

      ——————————————–

While the text of the trade deal does include a commitment that both countries would both, bilaterally and internationally “promote carbon pricing and measures to mitigate carbon leakage risks,” the legislation does not include provisions to force a pollution pricing plan.

      ——————————————–

There should be no mention of ‘carbon taxes’ in this document at all. This will not hurt the CPC one bit.

  8. How are those diversity hires working out at the Ottawa Police Service?

“Const. Mohamed Mohamed was found guilty of violating the Police Service Act in a case connected to an RCMP anti-corruption investigation into fellow OPS Const. Haidar El Badry and a parallel drug investigation into his younger brother, Ameer El Badry. […]

Const. Haidar El Badry was charged with breach of trust by a public officer, obstructing justice and causing a person to deal with a forged document. He remains under paid suspension while awaiting trial.

Ameer El Badry pleaded guilty to trafficking fentanyl earlier this year.”

  10. Global women’s rights groups silent as Israeli women testify about rapes by Hamas
    https://www.humanrightsvoices.org/?post_type=article&p=393101

As the United Nations promotes an awareness campaign ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25, chilling accounts from survivors and first responders who witnessed Hamas’s October 7 massacre of 1,200 Israelis paint a horrifying picture of systemic sexual assaults perpetrated against women and girls of all ages.

One survivor of the Supernova music festival, where about 360 people were slaughtered, described how she witnessed Hamas terrorists rape an Israeli girl: ‘As I am hiding, I see in the corner of my eye that [a terrorist] is raping her,’ the witness recounted. ‘They bent her over and I realized they were raping her and simply passing her on to the next [terrorist].’ Yet many feminist and women’s rights organizations worldwide have remained conspicuously silent — and some are even questioning the veracity of the accusations. These denials of the sexual abuse perpetrated by Hamas have far-reaching consequences, including the deterrence of other sexual abuse victims from seeking help.

Among others, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (also known as UN-Women) released a statement on October 13 equating the Hamas brutalities with Israel’s self-defense. Likewise, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) neglected to explicitly condemn Hamas’s atrocities. And the international #MeToo movement completely failed to mention Hamas — or the Israeli victims…
