Elon Musk’s X Corp is suing Media Matters. Here is an analysis of this concise complaint. I will be reporting on this case as it progresses. This will be the main thread, so please bookmark if interested. You can also find it on my Highlights page.
As @elonmusk discussed in the post he made this weekend, X alleges that Media Matters “knowingly and maliciously” manufactured images to show advertising where it didn’t exist, specifically for the purpose of harming and destroying X.

Like SCOTUS, another area the swamp socialists failed to weaponize, civil courts can sink the fascists in their megalomaniacal zeal to destroy any and all contrary narratives, breaking the law once again, but this time not protected by recalcitrant DAs and AGs. Now the court of public opinion has turned against them, the dystopic fog perhaps clearing to reveal those who make sense and get things done, like energized Elon the bellicose Trump.

I saw somewhere that Trump appointed District Judge Mark Pittman will be hearing the case. This is the same judge that denied the FDA’s request for the delayed release of all data and information for the Pfizer Vaccine for 75 years.

Don’t gloat too early about the election stuff – there’s still a lot going on in the background. Courts may have to quit stallin’ and the cops may have to start chargin’.

They have evidence that many of the media matters ad screenshots are on video pages that had only 1 unique view leading up to the hit pieces.
In other words, Media Matters knew the video existed despite nobody viewing it, and kept refreshing the screen until they got an ad to show up, then portrayed it as being a typical user experience.
Trump is getting in on this as well with Truth Social.
And just to make it even more entertaining, there is another group that is recruiting anyone who considers themselves to be a “social media influencer” to file amicus briefs with the court regarding how the resultant loss of traffic and ad revenue has adversely affected their income. No doubt this is a precursor to a class action law suit on behalf of anyone with a youtube channel who lost ad revenue. Since the ad revenue lost during each adpocalypse is well documented, that could be a real blow to these organizations.
As I understand it, Musk really is going nuclear, as it appears he intends to target the company, its directors, and the donors who pay for it.
If Musk intends to collect damages, Media Matters doesn’t have very deep pockets.
He has to go higher up the food chain.
