“Lest we forget” — I suspect they do not sleep, though poppies grow in Flanders fields nowadays. They’re probably looking at Justin et al. and wondering why they bothered.
Far too many died in vain. They fought against what we now embrace.
To see Trudeau even remotely connected with Remembrance Day is something I just can’t stomach.
Indeed. The cruelest form of mockery.
He’s only there to kiss goat-humper butt.
Sad but totally agree with you both.
Rest in Peace!
When does the mandatory Pride Parade start?
Even the degraded, denuded Canadian military must puke at any association with the Turd.
The federal Liberal Party of Canada has a long history of hating the Canadian military. It goes back to the silly madman William Mckenzie King and his shunning of Arthur Currie in 1919 and his refusal to attend the opening of the Vimy Memorial in 1936.
All Liberal PMs feared the Canadian military and disliked it – no exceptions. Pierre Trudeau was the worst, exceeded only by the above-mentioned King.
Don’t forget the NDP who wanted the army servicing in Afganastan tagged as terrorists.
Yes, it was Jack Layton and Michael Ignatieff that issued statements claiming our soldiers were war criminals because we turned captured Taliban over to local authorities. I suppose Layton and Iggy would have been more comfortable with them being brought to Canada to face Canadian (lack of) justice.
Raining here today,I hate it when it rains on Remembrance Day as so many of the older veterans suffer from the cold and damp.
But it was jushin trudeau who approved the payment of $10 million to a convicted war criminal, and then made the convicted war criminal’s lawyer a judge…
Just finished watching it, like we do every year. There was a bit of dust in the air, as there is every year.
We will remember them, when Hamas are forgotten.
The reason why I don’t attend remembrance day services.
Showing, Ottawa, is probably the greatest collections of misfits & assholes. Otherwise “honourable” politicians as only CBC and MSM can produce.
For my own safety , I would get arrested for throwing rocks at these despicable dredges of humanity, I stay away from remembrance day.
Maybe I should id as Decrepit Veteran.
During WWII I had Father, Uncle and Great Uncle serve. I lasted 13y 10m 2days until forced out during Pierre the Turds reign of terror.
In times of war and not before God and soldier man adore, in times of peace with all things righted God and soldier often slighted. My local legion had two prayers, up yours liberal regime.
We spent blood and treasure defeating these nazi creeps and now they are back. Sad.
Where in the past we would have heard prayers, this year I heard no mention of God. No mention of the necessity to fight evil. Instead, I saw some vague arm-waving about the value of diplomacy over fighting, and the importance of “hospitality”. WTAF does that mean?
If our elected leaders believe there is no such thing as evil, no right and wrong, no country to defend, then there can be no justification for a military of any sort. I guess they’ll get by with seizing bank accounts and maybe harvesting organs from involuntary MAID victims.
This country is sliding and the slope continues to steepen.
A somber day that we commemorate once a year and our betters are trying to diminish it. Last year was a disgrace and yet most of us have already forgotten it. While McCrae’s poem In Flander’s Fields is highlighted every year I’d like everyone to also remember Kipling’s poem: https://www.poetry.com/poem/33632/tommy
Anybody that doesn’t toe the Liberal line is a malcontent, homophobe, Islamaphobe, nazi, you name it but when the SHTF well that’s a different story.
I was at the Vimy100 ceremony and to see the turd waving to the crowd during the silence irks me for all time
People meekly surrendered their rights and freedoms to government because they were scared of a virus. They did not stand up when government oppressed and vilified the unvaccinated. In fact, some ratted their neighbours out to government like the Germans did with the Jews. And then they sanctimoniously pin that poppy on and pretend to care that Canadians died in wars to preserve our freedom. Canada is a nation of blind hypocrites.
Exactly. When Remembrance Day services were held in Manitoba in 2021, they required you to show your vax pass to attend. What our ancestors fought and died for we are quickly giving away with no battle fought.
Good points.
I’m not watching anything with Liberals in it and especially He-who-sits-like-a-woman.
Remember the year he showed up late because he couldn’t find a sock and then was grinning like a pedo at a kindergarten as he took selfies with half-witted c**ts.
We are now an officially atheist society, as evidenced by the changes to the Remembrance Day ceremony “God” was spoken only once, when the royal anthem, “God Save The King” was announced at the end of the ceremony. Where does Canada find its moral centre now? Marx? WEF? The Trudeaus? I suspect it will not turn out well.
Very happy to say that the remembrance Day ceremony I attended, was very God focused
Then again I live in a constituency that votes 85% conservative
My Grandpop Reggie served two tours of duty with the British Infantry 1914-18. Somme, Ypres. Never a religious man, but lived for the grace of God.
