    1. Not super surprised that the crown wouldn’t charge him. Our justice system is a complete and utter corrupted banana republic style scam from top to bottom.

  1. Yara sounds like an excellent candidate for the far-left CBC. She looks hot so a national TV show where the “outspoken” Wendy-Mesley-wannabe can teach Canadians what to think seems par for the course.

Or maybe not: CBC ombudsman warns broadcaster of language…”The CBC has a “great responsibility” not to use disparaging terms when describing critics of the federal government.” And, “I will take this opportunity to stress to programmers at CBC they assume a great responsibility when they choose to use terms such as ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’ in their stories,”. And, “Nagler added CBC News should reconsider its use of the term “far right” in stories as well, and just stick to the facts.”
Everything the ombudsman has pointed out are exactly why I change the channel. He must be a far-right ombudsman, i.e. normal.

    1. Where did hijab host that used to be on The National end up? That experiment failed miserably, thankfully.

      RNrn

    2. The left has rebranded the German National SOCIALIST Workers party as far right.

They want everyone to think anyone who is not a socialist is far right, and thus a Nazi.

      1. The socialist and the communists killed tens of millions in the 40s. I argued with an NDP supporter that the Nazis were socialists. She insisted they were right wing. There are none so blind….

        1. The Nazis weren’t communists. In fact, the Nazis saw the communists as their enemies. That’s where the left got the notion that Nazis were “far-right wing.”
The sad reality is that both ideologies favor statist, collectivist, and authoritarianism over the individual. The only difference between the two ideologies that I can see is that the communists CONTROLED industry, OWNING it, whereas the Nazis merely COLLABORATED with industry, allowing for private ownership — as long as you do the fascists’ bidding.
Sort of what the Biden administration tried to do when they pretty much told social media companies to sensor conservatives. And with that, it’s pretty easy to conclude who comes closer to fascism/Nazism, and it certainly isn’t the right.
You have got to wonder how is it possible for anyone to be so disconnected as the left is when it comes to branding conservatives as Nazis, many of whom have had family FIGHT AGAINST the Nazis!

  2. The one evident benefit of all this horror in Israel is that here in Canada the turds in the lamestream media are demolishing their own careers.

  3. Hopefully tomorrow in the Good News File she eats the bumper of a speeding bus.
In other news, her or her ilk will go underground, pissed that they’ve been rejected, then learn how to fly or build IED’s and then pop up again.
    Hooray Diverthity!

  4. If you were serious about terminating every Jew-hater at CTV, you’d be left with the lunch ladies, the janitors and the security guards—the only people in the place who do anything of any genuine use to anyone, in other words.

As it is, they think if they fire the Arab princess hired because she was someone’s mistress and whom nobody liked anyway, no more will be said about it.

Sad to say, they’re probably not wrong. The number of genteel anti-Semites terminated from employment under the New Rules is miniscule.

By rights everybody in corporate Canada ought to be asked to re-apply for their positions, with the understanding that known Hamas supporters would not be hired back. I won’t be holding my breath.

    1. Now that she has been fired … for expressing and defending “the cause” … there is ululating and sweets being handed out in Gaza right now. They would welcome her with open arms.

  5. I would not gloat over your opponents being “cancelled”. For a short temporary period you are aligned with the cancellors, but that won’t last. They are coming for you next. Kind of like Corb Lund protesting coal mines because he supports ranching. Ranchers are next.

    1. They’re not after just the Jews. The Jews only happen to be at the top of their hit list. They are gunning for all “Kafirs”

“Kafirs” is the jihadist reference for all non-believers, which means anyone who isn’t a Muslim.

I know that there are “moderate” Muslims who don’t believe in the extremist Jihadist. They sincerely believe that theirs is a religion of peace, but I simply cannot agree with that posit any longer. There is no such thing as a “moderate Muslim,” or an “extremist Muslim.” There are only “Muslims” period. It’s up to Muslims to define what their faith really means. Does their religion truly represent peaceful coexistence, or does their religion command that true Muslims must kill all the Kafirs — all the infidels.
I’m trying very hard not to hate my Muslim cousins. We are, after all, all children of Abraham, but Muslims must take charge and define their faith, and what it really means to be a Muslim, and so far, with all the pro-hamas; anti Israel demonstrations in the name of “the resistance”, they aren’t doing a very good job defining themselves as a civilized people.

  6. These are NOT new rules. Having worked for the feds myself, married to a diplomat, I knew very well 40 years ago not to loudly articulate ALL of my views at work, and only in off-hours among friends or groups, not in any very public forum.

If you work for a media company, the rules were and are now likely the same. Gaining attention on other media would embarrass her employer, who at least, pretends to be neutral on controversial policies.

Oh, poor her. The firing was appropriate. Free speech has some subtle Canadian decorum rules, that people here and coming here need to learn. Now, with social media, people need to be even more circumspect, as future employers will search your old messaging.

Few Canadians care seriously about distant wars all that much, especially the ones that go on for centuries. Leave that luggage behind when moving to Canada.

  7. Lots of cancelation going on:
Germany: Demonstrations by Jews critical of Israel have also been banned. In response to this, Iris Hefets, a board member of Jewish Voice for a Just Peace in the Middle East, stood alone on Hermannplatz on 14 October, holding up a sign that said: ‘As a Jew and as an Israeli, stop the genocide in Gaza.’ She was taken into police custody

    1. I’m am against banning the pro-hamas; anti-Israel protests. I want these people to expose themselves. Otherwise they will go underground and fester like a cancer to society until they strike with the violence that they have become known to exhibit.
      Their reputation precedes them.
If they come out of the open, and reveal themselves to be the absolute excrement of civilization, then we can deploy the “new rules” against them.

  8. The next national socialist Liberal Member of Parliament from Atlantic canada… if she promises them welfare and dope…

  9. “While we don’t comment on specific staffing matters we can confirm that Yara Jamal is no longer with CTV News.”

    Dude, you just did…

  10. “Journalists are tasked with being politically neutral”. Ha. I haven’t laughed out loud in awhile. Thanks for the chuckle.

  11. While we are dealing with semantics, let’s make something clear.
Anyone who uses the term ‘apartheid’, ‘occupation’ or ‘genocide’ when describing Israel, hates Jews. Period.
They’ll call themselves anti-Zionist, they’re not. They are Jew haters. And let’s get rid of anti-Semitic. Just call them what they are, Jew haters. They use pejorative terms to purposely lie, obfuscate and deceive. Jew hater is a clear, concise descriptor.
