What do you do if you’re a news reporter and the biggest story of the day, if not the election, falls right into your lap?
Well, if you work for CBC Winnipeg, the answer appears to be ‘news be damned’ if it doesn’t fit the narrative being promoted at the moment.
The Black Rod happened to be on the scene when a deranged man smashed out the windows of a clearly marked CBC vehicle on Main Street in broad daylight Monday afternoon.
The female reporter cowered in the front seat, weeping while speaking to someone on her cell phone. The male camera man huddled in fear in the back seat as he, also, talked on his phone. Neither of the news crew was using their phone to capture video of the attack.
The car was parked outside of Our Place/Chez Nous at 676 Main St. just south of Higgins. The CBC team had obviously just interviewed some of the directors of the drop-in centre that’s closing after 30 years on the Strip amidst, as their CBC report later that evening put it, “growing safety concerns for those who staff it.”

When behavior like this is an everyday occurrence, is it really news?
Don’t mention the dissolution and decay of the heart of the city. You might upset the normies.
Things like this is why I have zero interest in living in a large city or even the suburbs of a metropolitan area. If it’s true that the globalist’s goal is to move people into cities and use public transport then you’d think they’d make them a more attractive place to be. Instead cities have:
-overpriced homes and apartments
-high taxes and fees
-crumbling infrastructure
-a school system filled with crime and progressive social agendas
-ineffective policing for real crimes such as theft, violent crime, rampant drug use, followed by easy bail/light sentences
-aggressive policing of traffic violations, “right-wing” protesters, and hurtful internet posts in places like the UK
-growing homelessness and tent cities
-public transport systems that are used as porta-potties, homeless shelters, insane asylums and crime central.
-intrusive surveillence which is now being used a tax enforcement and social engineering (ex.UK ULEZ).
Yeah, I think I prefer living in hickville that is pretty much the exact opposite of the above city model. Seeing the sunrise through my window over an open field every morning in a safe, affordable, quiet community without intrusive surveillance/traffic cameras everywhere seems nicer, oddly enough.
So true! We’re so far off the dirt road to our place, we don’t even need curtains.
The only ‘intrusiveness’ we get is wild turkeys and deer that meander by, foraging as they go.
But we know our most of our neighbours on our road/area. Some have chickens and we get very fresh eggs.
In my old stomping grounds, a northern Ontario town, are having big issues with tent cities that are all over the place now, resulting in increase in crime, illegal drugs, property damage, thefts and etc.
So now, views out our windows are always so beautiful… nature 360. It’s worth the extra effort.
A new nature show daily and seasonally. We do have neighbors but everyone has ample space/privacy and an unobstructed view of the natural landscape on at least one side. Peaceful without isolation. Though I enjoyed a more remote residence, just too much driving if you needed anything.
Well the CBC missed out on a perfect opportunity to comment on how the patriarchal CBC had a hand in hiding the residential school massacres over the decades past and fully understood and empathized with the vandals who were merely expressing their mostly peaceful attack on the symbolism of systemic racism.
Or something equally nonsensical as that.
Actually, I am on the side of the crazy guy. If I saw a CBC van, I too, would be sorely tempted to take it out.

Anyhow, you can see that nobody wants to mess with crazy. So, if you ever get the opportunity and the urge, you might contemplate pulling a Geraldine, “The Debil made me do it!” Add a Kamala-Kackle and no one will approach within 20 feet.

Seems to me CBC were one of the first ones to cry racism when an Air Canada memo leaked out instructing flight crews to upgrade their hotel selection in Winnipeg due to personal safety concerns. I take it there’s a certain indigenous problem on Winnipeg streets at night.

You don’t know that- yet. He has said he wants to “defund” them, but I always took that to mean he’d slash their funding, not eliminate it altogether.
I wish he actually would shut the whole stinking mess down, but I have zero faith that he will. This is the “Conservative” party we’re talking about.
Was born here, raised up north and came back. Have been in the city 35+ yrs, 27 at our current place in a “quiet” enclave in the south end. Raised kids here, schools, shopping everything is close. WAS a great place to live.
For sale sign goes on our property today, have an accepted offer on a place in the bush on a river an hour and half east. We’re done.
Neighbors have property in Asia, they are gone in less than two years. They are amazing people, will miss them.
Get out of the cities while you can.

Yesterday the CBC was disabling my comments as past as I could post them. I eventually figured out some of the ‘trigger words’ than caused the program to disallow my words (in one case it was ‘fake hate crimes’). I think you can also post climate change but not ‘climate change’, so I’m thinking it is the quotation marks that do a lot of the damage…if you don’t believe exactly what the CBC believes, you *will* be censored.

I fought with global a while back. The were asking for a handout from the government and claimed that they were not. But the info was on Blackrocks (?) if I recall.
