As Canadians sink further and further into the depths of inflation and “tax death”, this disgusting excuse for a cabinet minister continues the charade of a carbon tax, all the while hobnobbing with the Chinese who have no problems with carbon. It’s almost as if it’s all bullshit and they’re just loading cash into special interests and their pockets. Oh wait. That’s exactly what’s happening. I’d like to see public hangings make a comeback for these treasonous thieving bastards.

  5. Both of them know, because it has been said explicitly long ago, that climate change policies are not at all about climate but about a socialist political agenda. So Guilbault is more or less correct, Lawton’s question on the fictitious connection ignores the reality. Guilbault may be evil but he’s not stupid. Never underestimate your enemy.

    1. Agreed. When he called the Rio 93 Conference 30 years ago, Maurice Strong said precisely that this was about the destruction of capitalism on a global basis when he referred in his opening remarks to ‘the Great Reset’.

      It’s no accident that he died in exile in Beijing.

        1. That was the least of his sins, Steakman and DHL. This POS was caught stealing aboriginal land in Costa Rica for his ‘World University’. He was in exile in China in part because of Oil for Food and in part because there were any number of lawsuits against him in the United States over water rights and misappropriation in the SW US states.

          So after Oil for Food, he needed to escape to a country which did not have an extradition treaty with the US. Hence his exile in Beijing.

          He also did his best to destroy Ontario Hydro in the early 1990s at the behest of then-Premier and fellow scumbag Bob Rae. And let’s not for get that it was Strong who turned PetroCanada into the overblown, debt-laden mess it was as a federal crown corporation under Pierre Trudeau.

          Canada’s gift to the world was the international criminal Mo Strong. His mother should have practised birth control.

    So much for calling others ignorant. Why can’t he explain simply the relationship between carbon taxes, wildfires and extreme weather? Because he doesn’t understand it well enough himself Can you explain simply why CAGW is bunk?

    Climate has always changed. There is no empirical or experimental evidence of any significant human caused climate change.
    There is also no evidence that extreme weather events are increasing, or even if a warming climate would cause that.
    Governments have collected $billions taxing air without having to account for it and expect us to change our behaviour.
    Renewable energy is nowhere near viable and trying to make it so requires significant of fossil fuels to mine needed minerals.
    All based on models that are nowhere near the basis for any significant change in energy, taxation or economic policy planning.
    It all requires ever bigger government and more and more of your money and liberty, while fossil fuel use worldwide explodes.

    Then demand credible evidence to the contrary. Back away as their heads explode. The burden of proof is on CAGW adherents.
    Imho those “scientists” have made zero attempt to disprove their hypothesis while ignoring contradictory observations.

    Oops, was that “far right wing?” Or what pray tell? Or centre right moderation? Of common sense? Or just propaganda?

  13. We’re going to implement a new carbon tax for the farm next spring right after seeding so that the drought will end. Then we’ll cancel it just before harvest so that it will be hot and dry.
    Should work, right?

    The reason why it won’t work is the same reason why Canada’s carbon tax won’t work.
    Asking liberals why the carbon tax didn’t stop forest fires might teach them to think.
