    1. I was on 11street NE Saturday and there were at least 4 unmarked cruisers heading to McKnight Blvd with Swat team looking types. What a waste of police resources if no one got arrested.

    2. There was a code orange (mass casualty event) at at least one of the hospitals in Calgary as well that night. No doubt related to the fighting. What a waste of health care dollars too.

        1. I lived in the beautiful city of Calgary for 13 years. However, it sounds like it’s becoming a multicultural, Third-World shithole like every other major urban centre. There use to be something exceptional about Calgary. Not anymore.

          1. I left in February 2014 – Mayor Naheed Nenshi had already turned it into a shithole. Property taxes were escalating and there was a fee for everything. I had reduced the size of my deck because it extended into the side yard setback (which is there to prevent fire spread). Now the posts extended into the side yard setback by 3/4″. For this and because I wanted my updated site survey to be legal, I had to pay a fee of $ 468.00. Everything which Naheed Nenshi did was a shakedown.
Then the citizens turned around and elected some female with purple hair (or is pink or green) who is 10 times worse.

  1. That was the 2014 USC cheerleaders. I am sure today’s enlightened USC Cheerleaders realize how objectified their predecessors were and are now pursuing healthier modern body images and obesity too.

      1. That’s pretty close to the truth, because of boosted cycles in the PCR test. That’ll pick up any stringent corona virus, even if they’re not active.

        1. The PCR test cannot tell you anything about an infection as it cannot distinguish between live and dead matter. Kary Mullis who developed the test was outraged, as he knew the test could not be used to diagnose any infection of any kind.

    1. Said academics should give up all alcohol.
Fermentation produces CO2 which the academics say is bad.

And since they’re academics, they should stop heating their houses. A house maintained at 22C is a constant heat source, thus contributing to heating the planet.

  2. #1 reason to attend USC? Gee… I can’t imagine anyone getting any studying done with all that distraction.
College Cheerleaders have come a long way, haven’t they? One wonders if they went in the wrong direction.

2014, eh? Can’t imagine what they would be like today, nor would I want to. I’m too old for that S**t

  3. Bloomberg TV is all a flutter this morning about President Biden’s pro-union speech yesterday:
    https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/biden-heads-philadelphia-labor-day-parade-expected-speak-102904480

Donald Trump years ago taught me years ago to be pro working person, including unions if unions avoid politics and corruption (hard to do). And it it’s good to see Poilievre making noises to be pro working class.

But the UAW union head gunning for an auto strike is a Marxist extremist. And business insiders say there will be a strike, perhaps at all three U.S. big three companies. So Biden cheerleads this.

    1. That so has to be FBI. When they are all young thin and healthy looking and wearing matching outfits they are definitely cops. Remember that back in the 1960s the Canadian Jewish Congress was accused of sponsoring the Canadian Nazi Party and CSIS did help found the Heritage Front in the 1980s. Make work projects.

    1. Steve from Rockwood: “Why it took this guy 1.7 million years to get his family there is still unknown.”

No open borders. No welfare payments when you get there. Why bother to go?

    1. Well New Yorkers proudly voted to become a sanctuary city, and voted for unlimited immigration, so they can pay for it.
