Daily Mail- Nine out of 10 ULEZ cameras have been vandalized in southeast London
From next week, the controversial scheme will cover all London boroughs and will force drivers of non-compliant vehicles to shell out £12.50 a day. The pricey plans have been met with much resistance and armour plating is now being used to protect the cameras.
TfL has said the vandalism will not stop the Ulez changes going ahead next week as planned and that all vandalised cameras will be replaced or repaired. A spokesperson added that more than 1,900 cameras are in place in outer London.
Activists have also put stickers over the cameras so that drivers aren’t caught out by the new rules.

This is the funniest video I have seen encouraging Ulez camera vandalism by pretending not to encourage the vandalism.

And suddenly vandalism is a crime.
Are the school zone speed cameras any different in Ontario? How about red light cameras? How about laser speed measuring devices or internet feeds on the highway? How about tickets for seatbelts?
Any time you allow a government to collect a tax on anything with hardly a whimper, the beast gets larger, and larger. In my locale, the cops only ticket vehicles towards the end of each month and only on sunny days. Now if speed was really a concern, they would be out nailing people for speeding when it is raining or snowing as the coefficient of friction between the tires and the road are greatly reduced and the opportunity for accidents is much higher. But do they do it then? Nope.
We need to stop allowing the government to save us from ourselves and take responsibility for own destiny. Otherwise, the beast of tyranny will win.
…but…but…but…that’s GOOD tyranny, you grandma-killin’ runner-over of kiddies!

Some years ago I read somewhere that an individual will be photographed at least 100 times in London just going for a casual stroll downtown making it the heaviest surveilled city in the world.
Maybe they’ve finally had enough.
Nah…that’s crazy talk.
It’s about time some “activists” did something productive…
Wonder why the UK social justice system isn’t giving camera vandals a pass like looters and shoplifters?
Armour plating?
Spray paint or strategically placed cardboard still works….Spray on rubberized undercoating? Super tacty open gear grease?
Will a green laser disable these cameras? I read somewhere that it would.
Oh no, no, no Thomas. No one should ever even consider trying to find out if a green laser, available from Amazon for $14.99, would disable a camera. And of course the military grade version, $21.88, is totally out of the question.
The nerve of some people getting a green laser from Amazon for $14.99 and pointing it at surveillance cameras! Vandalism. Pure vandalism.
What’s a non-compliant car?
A poor person’s car.
One owned by a prole, who has forgotten their class.
