    1. L – Sask United edged out the NDP in a 28 day election taking 2nd
place. This with one leading issue, that of having parents take back
control of their children’s education from the NDP infiltrated
      bureaucracy.

Jon Hromek, the Sask United candidate is a petroleum engineer
and successful entrepreneur in that field. He’s a heavy hitter,
likely with an engineers ability to analyze data, value for money
auditing and detect incompetence. Could he double today’s
results by next fall? If he truly wants to achieve that?

Yes, if the party’s platform presents a clear, well reasoned
alternative; one exploiting the failed policies in Health, Education,
      Justice et al.

      1. I am a Sask party voter but a government that gets long in the tooth needs a little slap on the side of the head.

Those billboards about teacher salaries piss me off. Don’t pay the teachers I don’t care but don’t play divide the population game. You represent all of us including teachers. Just negotiate at the table.

Again….. Sask party voter. But this government thinks it poop don’t stink.

I’m glad a few people voted against them. Get them back to running the province in a positive way where critics have crickets. Like the one in my garage right now.

        1. Jeff, long time sk party supporter here too. I will never forget what they did to monumentally change our province, and western Canadian politics ( for the good)
But just like any government with no opposition, they get fat, lazy, and let the bureaucrats run everything. They are paid well to do their job and they aren’t doing it. They don’t accept responsibility for anything they fumbled, and that is a huge red flag. They don’t just need a little warning shot, they need to have some heads roll and Moe gives me no confidence that this will ever happen. Big talk and platitudes to calm the squeaky wheels but nothing of substance, in my opinion. I won’t hold my nose and vote for them unless I see something with vision and depth come from their camp. They spend far too much time in front of the mirror. My $.02

      1. The recording was imbedded in Newsweek, it comes from russian state TV. Seriously, sometimes I am afraid you’re getting senile.

    1. Biden Vows To Sacrifice As Many Ukrainian Lives As It Takes To Defeat Russia
As the war rages on, Biden reiterated his support for Ukrainians fighting hard while he sits back and watches. “The United States is proud to hide behind the Ukrainian people as a nation full of human shields,” he said. “Even if it leads to Putin using nuclear weapons on the people of Ukraine, we are willing to take that risk. End of speech. Walk away from podium.”

          1. Yes, very observant of you. Hence if he wanted to post unfunny satire about war in Ukraine he should start a new thread and not post it in response to unrelated satire about someone identifying as a dog a winning a dog show. Can you keep up with the logic of this argument?

  1. Mark Mallett made a small documentary in regards to public consultations for a wind farm project in Alberta. The tactics of the wind industry are appalling. It’s a deception to fill in a check box for the regulatory body in Alberta and divide the residence and pushing their sales pitch one resident at a time to keep them as uniformed as possible.

    1. “keep them as uniformed as possible”??????? Maybe “uninformed” would be a better thing there. Maybe proof reading would also be helpful.

    1. “Ford, in a statement to FOX Business, noted that driving ranges can be impacted by weather and geography, but also acknowledged some of the challenges facing the industry. ”

They were likely going with the wind and Winnipeg to Fargo is completely flat.

    1. Sorry, I missed that and reposted it below. Thanks for your original post.

I guess I was tired after my stress cardiac test I was just finishing at the time you posted it… 🙁

  2. Remember the Gibson Bakery – Oberlin College defamation lawsuit? The saga continues. Oberlin is now suing its own insurance companies.

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/08/oberlin-college-sues-insurers-for-refusing-to-cover-36-million-it-paid-gibsons-bakery-for-defamation-and-other-torts/

Background: Oberlin College said the Gibson family were racist, and falsely accused them of discrimination and racist acts. The Gibsons sued for $200K, and even offered to settle for a public apology by the college.

It went to trial, the College was found it intentionally defamed the Gibsons and ordered to pay $32 Million dollars on an original $200K lawsuit. Then Oberlin appealed and with interest ended paying $36 Million plus all its own legal fees (over $5 mill, likely 8+).

Now Oberlin is suing its own insurance companies to recover the $36 million. The insurance companies say, “Your employees intentionally lied and defamed the Gibsons. We do not cover intentional malicious acts.”

All for a lawsuit that would have been resolved with an apology by Oberlin.

    1. There are plenty of people who would pay Oberlin to release the Obama financials (not the transcripts) showing that he was and still is a citizen of Indonesia. Or… just threaten to leak it and Chubaka will pay.

    1. Good, the law ought to be changed so people defending their property cannot be held liable when confronting a robber, regardless of what happens to the robber.

  5. Canada ‘absolutely’ can’t build more houses without more immigrants, minister says
    https://globalnews.ca/news/9890682/housing-shortage-canada-immigration-targets/

So let me get this straight… We have a shortage of housing as a result of historically high immigration, refugee and illegal migrant numbers, and the solution to this is to bring in even more immigrants to build the housing for the immigrants who have already flooded into the country? Why, that’s very Liberal reasoning, I must say!
