      If he hasn’t given up where the money is (names and secret bank accounts) after 48 hours, they’ll break out the blow torches, electric drills, and jumper cables with a doctor on standby to make sure he doesn’t die until he talks.

      They want the missing money. He only gets (mercifully) shot after he talks. The 48 hours is for him to decide how he wants to go, fast or slow.
