    1. Yeah but no. In a past life I used to do stuff very similar to this for real. What your seeing here hasn’t changed in 30 years despite better practices having been available the whole time.

      This is a small area so the backhoe is stupid. But if you’re in a great big hurry at least weld a flat bar across the bucket teeth for clean excavation allowing for depth and stratigraphic control. Screen sift everything.
