Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“At 81, Martha Stewart Is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Cover Star”
I saw it at the magazine stand tonight. Good for her but will sports fans buy it?
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/15/style/martha-stewart-sports-illustrated-cover.html
Er, no.
Still better than a Tranny though
Martha Stewart is a mere 5 years older than me, and yes, I think she looks really hot in that photo.
Pictures of young babes only serve to remind me of my advancing years and as the father of two girls, I look upon them as a father might (my youngest BTW is 33, so older than the average pinup girl)
10 years ago one of the nicest, sweetest, dearest young children in Sanford, Florida went to the store to buy some ice tea. Walking back home, he was viciously shot by a brutal, sadist WHITE Hispanic named George Zimmerman.

Not funny, Pat, even as obvious satire.
Titanic having recently been in the news, I relate the response of one commentator at the time of its sinking, to a letter-to-the-editor written by a ferocious suffragette who opined that it was only right and proper for men to give-up their seats in the lifeboats to women and go down with the ship. He asked whether, however correct or otherwise her words may be viewed by individuals, they should have been bandied-about at a time of so many newly grieving widows. But he left it up to the readers’ sensibilities – “like cannibalism, it is a matter of taste.”
I respectively disagree. I welcome Pat’s satiric contributions, since humor is one of the conservative-right’s most effective weapons.
A case in point. The left, especially in Canada, holds all the institutional power. The left runs everything. Even comedy, on old-establishment TV and nearly all comedy clubs, is owned by the left. But as good leftists, they can’t poke fun at the ruling establishment, so political and social satire is out. One doesn’t see satire on TV and in movies. Has one ever saw a funny CBC comedy show?
The alternative conservative media is counter-culture media. It can poke fun (or shall one say hold up to ridicule) any of the powerful, leftist institutions out there. This is true art, and it’s underground.
Perhaps not the most exciting story but certainly a case of old time dogged determination by a reporter. So last week a young woman was tragically killed by a falling tree while working on a fire and the town was inundated with news media. I told a reporter about an incident that occurred in 1985 that killed five men, who were my work buddies, and the story was mostly forgotten except by the families who put up a makeshift cairn at the site. I showed him a photo of the memorial and he wanted to see the place for himself. Long story short, he was like a blood hound and two days later phoned for additional directions. He spent hours and finally met a local who showed him the place. Then he wrote an interesting story on his blog: https://www.exnews.net/post/fighting-wildfires-can-be-deadly

Thanx,for sharing that..
RIP to the 4 young men.
Thanks Steakman – it was actually 5 men including the pilot and if we contrast and compare 1985 with today we don’t have the lowering of flags and statements by politicians. Not saying the latest death didn’t deserve public words of sympathy, but the forgotten five as I call them, vanished quickly from the news of the day and were essentially forgotten except by their families. who built a small memorial on their own. That memorial as you can see is overgrown and sits in thick forest. Again I am not saying it should be some spectacle but I wanted to draw attention to this so they would not be forgotten as they were for many years.

We’re going to need a level registry.

Was it a two foot level, or a four? Maybe it was an eight inch, with the magnetic strip, they’re easy to conceal. Most people won’t even know you’re carrying one!
Dangerous times!
I can imagine the victim’s testimony.
“I’ll straighten you out!” he shouted, brandishing the carpenter’s tool menacingly.
I have four levels, I just know that my six-footer will be prohibited by Order-In-Council.

If true, this is very interesting and encouraging. Too bad RFKJr will never be able to debate Biden (banned by DNC), nor be interviewed on any of the MSM platforms.
Among leading/known Democrats RFKJr definitely seems the most acceptable.

Zelensky Mocks Request for Gratitude Towards Western Taxpayers.
“Let him write to me [about] how else I should express my words of gratitude or we could get up in the morning and express our words of gratitude to the minister,” Zelensky said sarcastically, implying some kind of ceremonial thanking to placate Wallace.

Zelensky is 100% right. Gratitude for weapons used to defend civilization against the savage barbarian horde? We owe them, not the other way around.

Euro weenies just like Canadians when selecting their betters to rule over them. Sorry no linky, translation from nazi descendants.
“The Great German Mathematician Foreign Minister Burbock spent 136,500 euros on a stylist in 2022, at a fixed rate of 8,925 euros per month.
For the first half of 2023, the costs of the German Cabinet for hairdressers and makeup artists imposed on taxpayers amounted to 500,000 euros.
Prof. Christian Hillgruber, a well-known German constitutional lawyer commented that such spending by the federal government is “legally dubious” and “politically ugly.””
“Politically ugly ” is what they call grift these days.

Our justice system hard at work.
It appears that Canada is exporting its form of Islamophobia to the U.K.
From the London (U.K.) police:
“Counter terrorism detectives have today arrested two men as part of an investigation into suspected terrorism offences.
The officers arrested a 56-year-old man from east London in the area at approximately 05.40hrs this morning, Monday, 17 July.
They arrested a 28-year-old Canadian national at Heathrow Airport at approximately 12.35hrs, after he arrived on a flight from Canada.
Both were arrested on suspicion of membership of a proscribed organisation, contrary to section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000.”
