A Snow White with darker skin literally makes no sense, of course, because she was quite literally Snow White, named after her abnormally White skin. “The fairest of them all,” I seem to recall. But whatever. My objection is not particularly that the races were swapped, but by how tediously predictable doing so was.

I saw this story on a separate site and my first thought was “What is this? $hit brown and the 23 accompanying genders? Why do they think anyone other than their writers would want to see that?” 23 might be low, but if they only had 2 or 3 companions on some of the filming days I’m sure they could choose to be more disparate for the day.

“Coal Black and de Sebben ” was an actual cartoon made by Warner animators in the 1930s and it is absolutely as racist as you might expect. Funny as hell in a kind of Simpsons way in that it’s making ruthless fun of certain types of black hustler in the 1930s, but still.

What little I watch from the pits of modern entertainment have been racially revised to not resemble historical accuracy and to add thematic homosexuality to virtually every production. The language has been dragged down to include as many F-bombs as they can insert, and as someone who spent many years in logging camps and operations, it seems even more noticeable. Cultural revolutions are like that, I guess.
Hollywood writers can remain on strike forever. They have nothing to contribute. Most of them are never around “normal” children, so do not know that most boys like toys with wheels and girls like people toys. They do not care about race, either.
No one wants to see any gay or tranny scenes in ANY movies. Most people on the planet are heterosexual. Though we support rights, some of us have a revulsion response to obvious displays. And so do our kids.
Disney: hire some “normal” people.

Question is, what do they do with the new Snow White storyline? The “ race “ of the characters is unimportant.
The original Disney animated cartoons always had very positive messages for children, like “ let your conscience be your guide ( from Pinocchio ) , and “ whistle while you work “ ( Snow White ). It was about moral instruction, as well as entertainment of, the kids.
A lot of the the Disney ( and Lucasfilms division ) films these days these days have quasi-Wagnerian heroines single-mindedly chasing their “ destiny “ before all else. Of course, most are presented as near-perfect, self-sufficient characters whose only failures come about due to their failure to realize their own awesome, untapped potential, and an insufficient application of will to achieve their true greatness.
