The sequence of events that led to this digital exile began innocuously enough. A package was delivered to my house on Wednesday, May 24, and everything seemed fine. The following day, however, I found that my Echo Show had signed out, and I was unable to interact with my smart home devices. My initial assumption was that someone might have attempted to access my account repeatedly, triggering a lockout. I use a fairly old email address for my Amazon account, and it’s plausible that an old password might have been exposed in a past data breach. However, I currently use strong, auto-generated passwords via Apple and employ two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, so unauthorized access seemed unlikely.
I swiftly checked my other accounts (social media, streaming apps, etc.) to ensure I hadn’t been compromised. All seemed normal, with no flood of notifications from Microsoft Authenticator that would indicate an attempted breach. Puzzled, I followed the advice of the Amazon app and dialed the customer service number it provided. That’s when things began to take a surreal turn.
Canadians frozen out of bank accounts… hold my beer. But will it be blamed on AI?
Recently, my wife freaked…
She got a ding on her cellphone that her credit card was used for a large transaction.
She was trying to get ahold of the Scotia Bank to confirm that this wasn’t authorized by her.
I reminded her that her regular notifications come by email and she should check by her normal banking by the internet that we normal use.
All was fine there, and had she contacted by her cellphone, she would have authorized her credit card when calling and confirming as they would want her to type out her credit card numbers.
Yep, Ive had a similar incident.
Get a call from “visa”, they say my card has been comprimized, then they proceed to ask me to verify my card #….lol, told him to go fornicate with a sow….buh bye.!
I’m guessing it won’t be long before we are saying, “Justin, will you unlock my door so I can walk to the grocery store?”

‘Open the Pod Bay Doors, Hal.’ Amazon Locks a Man Out of His Smart Home Over Racism Allegations

As Blondie once said, one way, or another, they’re gonna get ya. It’s the price you will pay for convenience. And many people will be happy to pay for it. At some point, you may actually need the DOJ to kick down your door just so you can get in and make a sandwich.
I think the author has Labor Day and Memorial Day confused.
Alexa, how do “you” spell hammer?
“Due to this experience, I am seriously considering discontinuing my use of Amazon Echo devices and will caution others about this incident.”
HAL … we’ve found the problem.
Ya got a hammer Kenji. I have several and no Alexa. No Echo, no shit that tracks me other than those reading every keystroke I make here. No fancy phone and if my bank ever gives my shit to anyone they will lose big time.
I would NOT want to be the Hindu call center Rep. (named John Wayne) in India that takes YOUR customer complaint! They won’t have an English translation guide to cover THAT.
Check out Ron Paul’s thoughts on the corporotocracy and how it is manipulated and in turn, manipulates. The nazis were great at exactly this.
It’s later than we want to believe.
“I have a smart home, and my primary means of interfacing with all the devices and automations is through Amazon Echo”
The author put a spy speaker manufactured by Silicon Valley leftists into his home. He gets no sympathy from me. Stupid hurts. He should stop doing stupid things.
I do IT/Cloud stuff for a living. I don’t have any of that $hit in my house.
Never will
Tech fetish pays off.
I support choas baby, CHOAS!
If you’ve not lived in any, your not experienced.
Be the first course through ‘Battle School’ in the Military or have your first day on the job in Prison Services and 5 of your 6 Prison Workers are locked down for two weeks because of a murder in that section of the Prison. Fixing a huge metal barn roof with only the copper lightning line to climb down by. Steep Church roof and reshingling it without safety gear.
Just a few examples.
Believe me, Choas became a normal part of life…
Hehe, and here I still don’t have a cell phone. I get by just fine.

Not only is this guy some kind of wierd Sapiens morph, i dont think he lives on the same planet as I do. I just can’t get my head around adults being so completely dependent on this technology shit. It’s the death of thought and the triumph of servility.
He’s looking for sympathy but what he really needs is a couple of 95F degree days in a hay mow working for his supper.
OMG.. I can only wish that AI has the balls to speak the truth.. I’m sure they will patch this ( as well as my children’s future) ASAP.. Its not that the truth hurts as it like a wiggly tooth.. Its only a matter of time…
Can’t wait for when the implanted chips stop working for deviations from state orthodoxy.
I get the distinct impression the guy was irritated about being falsely accused and punished for a racist remark he didn’t make, as if had he actually made a racist remark it would have been fine and a well-deserved punishment. Since racist remarks these days include such statements as “two plus two equals four”, “not all white people are racist”, and “I like pickles”, everybody is potentially in big trouble. And this guy will be fine with that.
Stockholm Syndrome. Yes, empathizing with those who have taken you hostage.
