  1. I live in a riding likely to go NDP. I will be voting UCP without much enthusiasm. They are simply a bit better than the alternative. Sadly Danielle has been a bit disappointing because she has not cleaned out the bureaucracy. Boutique cuts like firing Hinshaw simply isn’t enough. We have a whole generation of bunglecrats that simply rely on computers and computer models to direct their actions rather than rely on boots on the ground and real world events. Sadly the NDP would just make that problem worse so…..

    1. Joe, Ward, below, is correct. She’s been hamstrung so far. Help support her in a win and watch things start to happen.

Another bout w/ Red Rachel will turn this province into a shithole like most of the RoC.

  2. We will see what Smith is made of if she wins a majority. She’s been rather hamstrung since assuming power.

She has much to atone for.

Banning the individual tracking of carbon/CO2 would be a nice soft start that would make lefty heads explode.

  3. Misinformation, foreign interference on the radar for Elections Alberta

Premier Danielle Smith told reporters on Monday that, while she has heard concerns about the use of vote tabulators, Elections Alberta will also be hand-counting ballots in the upcoming election and will retain paper ballots in the event of a dispute.

“I have confirmed through department officials that all of the votes on election day will be hand counted,” Smith said. “My understanding of how these voting machines work is that it is a paper ballot. And even though the tabulation takes place electronically, we retain a paper ballot so that if there is any issue of needing to do a recount, we’ll be able to go back to the paper ballots to do that.”

Despite Smith’s claim that all votes will be hand counted, Elections Alberta said a combination of hand counting and tabulator machines will be used for the May vote.

Smith’s comments come as a group concerned with the use of voter tabulators retained lawyer Leighton Grey to send a letter to Elections Alberta with a series of questions about their use, True North reports.

Grey told the outlet a group of residents does not want electronic counters to be used at all.

“Any directive to extend electronic voting machines to the entire Alberta 2023 election would necessarily impugn the integrity and reliability of its outcome,” Grey’s letter to Elections Alberta states.

Grey declined to speak with AB Today for the story.

Elections Alberta confirmed to AB Today it intends to use tabulators in combination with hand counts.

  4. The first rule of polls, like gov’t, is to not trust polls.

The second rule of polls is to not let them influence your vote.

    1. DF, I don’t know where you’re ED is, but the big change will be in Calgary. UCP will lose seats to the Commies. That’s the simple truth. Everywhere else will be mostly status quo. Lethbridge is also a battleground, with predictions running a tight race in both ED’s.

Part of that will be mistrust of DS, again, which I entirely understand. She’s earned that. Part of that is because of the Liar Kenney and his covid policy. I also completely understand that. He, too earned it.

Now, we’re supposed to go out & elect the same bastards that locked us down. That’s some twisted shit. I get it. Think of it this way: It’s the party, not the leader. And who makes up the party? The members. We do. Us. The people. It ain’t the pols. It’s on us to turn it into something positive.

Thing is, if any past or potential UCP voters think it’ll be any better under Red Rachel, they will be sadly disappointed. That’s why I’m swallowing the gorge rising in my throat by supporting her and also why I ponied up cash I don’t have get rid of the Liar Kenny & to help vote DS in. We’re 3 for 3 & that helps take the sting away some. If we can win the election, that means 4 for 4 & the fifth will be easier.

As voters, we have the ability to take back the power we slowly, bit by bit, ceded to the politicians. It’s working. The stunning realization for many is that we hold the cards. Not the pols. Once you understand that, you get the power we can wield and it doesn’t look so bleak anymore.

We need to make a commitment & get involved. I’ve attended 11 Take Back Alberta meetings so far, 8 this year alone. I’ve met hundreds of like-minded folk across a number of communities, everyone from dirt ranchers to doctors, & we’re doing what we can to help get the UCP re-elected. There’s still time left. If you hear of a meeting local to you, grab a few friends, your family & go listen. There’s no commitment by attending. Just listen, learn.

And remember: Friends don’t let friends vote EnnDeePee.

      1. First, the flak is always heaviest over the target.

Second, ‘course TBA is being painted as the fringe lunatics. We scare the hell out of the Commies because we’re getting results. They don’t like individual thinkers, the type who asks questions. Sheep are their preferred voter. That makes them easier to bamboozle. And, I could care less what they think. The more ignorant they are of us, the better.

Third, as to TBA’s politics, by law, they are not allowed to endorse a particular candidate or party. Their entire MO is to get politics back in the hands of the people, instead of the pols. That’s it. That’s all. True democracy. That all of TBA members are anti Commie merely speaks to the type of person who wants true democracy. We’re freedom lovers. The fact that the Commies are fighting this is merely confirms they are anti-democratic (see BC’s premiere race) & anti-freedom (see Red Rachel’s statement about door knocking, checking for jabbed).

There are lunatics & religious zealots the world over. Take your average Globull Warmist or TG endorser. There’s no “science” there. Therefore it must be religion. Who is crazier? Parents who don’t want biological males in the change rooms with their daughters or one who thinks an XY can conceive & bear children?

I appreciate your candor. I’m a huge supporter of TBA & I take no offence. There are 10’s of thousands of us in the province, we’re kicking butt, taking names & I make no apologies for that. Right now we’re one of the few things between freedom & the Commies. If we can stop the bastards on May 29, things will only get better for the entire province, yourself included.

    2. Almost all of the polls are not random polls….they are self selecting on-line polls…which are meaningless.

  5. Polls.
Heh,how many visitors here have answered one in the last decade?
    Seriously?
Who has the time or patience to be polite to these smarmy assholes who always seem to call at the most irritating time possible?
And if you start, you soon realize the “answers” are preselected and any contrary opinion has no place in the box to be checked.
So a sensible citizen stops playing.

    So who “informs” these pollsters?
People with time weighing heavy on their hands?
So natural NDP and Liberal voters.

Polls currently serve one function,to provide plausible cover for preplanned election fraud.
And if any one still trusts “Elections Canada” ,I have some real nice real estate for yah.
Might even come with a historic bridge for an extra fee.
And of course to influence the perpetually retarded,
“Everyone supports Big Brother, you must support Big Brother too”.
And yes they do walk amongst us and vote…

    1. A great many polls these days are self-selecting on-line polls…they are worthless. And the “results” are more to try to push people on direction than provide the true picture of where the electorate is. Good God, when an Abacus “poll” is shown in something like the Calgary Herald, it isn’t until the end of the article when they say something stupid like “if this were a random poll, the margin of error would be x%, 19 times out of 20”, Yeah….but it ISN’T a random poll and try to pretend that it borders on fraud. If my aunt had testicles, she would be my uncle.
