Buried in a self-serving bromide salad regarding press freedom one finds a reluctant admission: the CBC just can’t quit Twitter.
Today, we will resume some activity on a handful of umbrella Twitter accounts, including @CBCNews, but we will significantly reduce our overall Twitter footprint and continue to assess the platform against our strategy.

Translation: We will publish all of the lies that Dear Leader allows us to and you, dear taxpayers/suckers, will pay for it all.
We already know that Twitter Community Notes will call us on our B.S. but we’ll just label them Right Wing Zealots and pretend they don’t exist.
Our mantra of being aloof and unaccountable will continue unabated.
The hand that feeds you.. The day will come when the censors will come for the CBC as well.. They above all others should know what government creep will do to justify its existence.. They are fools..
They are already owned completely by the government. There’s even a bill in the works to completely fund cbc so add revenue is not required.
“… against our strategy”
What the hell does that mean? Nevermind … we all know exactly what it means.
Their strategy of being ignored by twitter.
Figures. CBC is so anti-gun that it can’t stick to ’em.
Pity.
fist pump, thumbs up emoji
They must mean their strategy to stay afloat, as turds tend to do.
Strategy to broadcast to all 6 viewers should be second nature by now . Perhaps their polished talents lean towards begging and groveling, hmmmm……
Let the CBC eat their favourite dish.

Like a junkie returning to his dealer…
Or a dog to its vomit..
They have no shortage of spew …
And the sow returns to her mire
And the burnt Fool’s bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire
That sound you hear is the echo of distant terror and slaughter, approaching
Baby, please don’t go.

CBC was fishing for racism stories about the Alberta fires on Twitter a few days back.
Just doing their job, trying to promote racism and hatred in Canada for corrupt politicians to exploit.
At the CBC website any comment with the word ‘Zoolander’ in it is immediately blocked and can result in the account being locked.
Press freedom?
I’m sure that forcing twitter to pay for the CBC’s content is going to go over well
