1. So criminals can’t kill, rape or steal from civilians if they’re in prison. A novel idea to be sure, but why would anyone want politicians to take away their liberty if they weren’t afraid of criminals roaming the streets?

Johnboy – Reality check – In Canada anyone who practices Conversion therapy can go to jail for up to five years (Bill C-4). “Conversion therapy is a practice that aims to change an individual’s sexual orientation to heterosexual or gender identity to cisgender, which means identifying with the sex assigned to them at birth”. Notice there is no penalty for trying to change an individual’s (e.g. child’s) sexual orientation to heterosexual or trans.

      ” It can involve various methods, such as emotional or physical therapy, aversive stimulation, or religious counseling”.

      All those gang members who Bukele imprisoned to make El Salvador safer, those would be conservatives in Canada under another deployment of the Emergency Measures Act.

   No one cares about criminals rights. The only thing you need to be concerned about is accidentally imprisoning a not criminal. But since they appear to have labelled themselves there’s not too much to sweat about.

5. Bukele was asked how he was going to reintegrate the criminals when they get out.

   His answer? They are not getting out.

   Not only do you eliminate much/most of the criminal element from the streets, but how many young men are going to risk starting/joining any gangs?

6. Take punishment, revenge and rehab out of the equation. This is about protecting honest citizens. Once you attack someone or his property you forfeit your chance to do it again.

9. I call on the Government Du Canader to bring all these poor inmates to our underpopulated country where they can flourish under our progressive Correctional System. I’d bet every one of those MS-13, 17, 18, and 22 members could be easily rehabilitated and made into useful taxpaying Liberal voting citizens.

   Also, we would be the beneficiaries of the lovely artwork as displayed on their skin. Perhaps when they die we can hang their hides in the National gallery. Yes, while the banana republic sees these unfortunate people as criminals, we enlightened Canadians know that inside every criminal is a loving person crying for a chance. 40,000? Hell we had that many cross at Roxham road last year alone, so a few more isn’t going to be any problem at all.

    In the streets … everyday. Rest assured, the police have not only been underfunded and defunded … but the mostly LGBTQqueer and female police are mostly doing paperwork … safe … in their offices. Collecting BIG overtime checks (funds that would have otherwise gone to additional police) to pad up their LUXURY Pensions.
