  1. this is a preliminary indication of the futility of ev highway trucks. Weight, both in vehicle and payload, are your enemy and will shine the light on the physics problem more brightly that the sportscar model. I am tired of people that can’t do basic math,

    H

      1. Obviously your racist for saying racist. Damned now you made me racist for saying racist – double damned I said it twice now!

    1. The POS known as the Ford Lightning can’t even tow a 6000lb travel trailer more than 85 miles on a test video I saw – on mostly flat terrain. Electric vehicle charge station anxiety has got to be a chronic mental condition now. I’ll bet most owners won’t drive their EV further than 100 miles from home because of that fear.

      1. The PTB actually don’t want you travelling more than a 100 miles from home. Their wet dream is to keep you 15 minutes walking distance from home where you can be readily monitored and controlled.

  2. If the government had any brains it would mandate that all EVs be limited to 1,500 kg and 50 kW battery packs. Over time it could define “commuter vehicle” (green plates) for licensing. If you’re driving an SUV or truck your pay more unless you have a business (red plates) or live in a rural area (blue plates). Not rocket science.

Plus that guy has been drinking too much coffee.

  3. The stock owners of GM have to raise up and end this craziness even with the government money there can’t be a business case for this.

    1. No. As proof of that, were it not for Barack’s socialist largesse, GM would not even exist today. And we’d all be better off.

      1. It wasn’t to save GM it was to save the AAW union and save future demoncrat votes

  4. Sorry, but this fool in the video is a moron. Just maybe you should have done just a little checking before you gave away all this cash for a lead weight.

  5. GM could probably have given this thing an extended range with a battery pack that size, but instead chose to give it 1000 horsepower?

    Ridiculous.

  6. This was my Friday- Load a 2000 lb skid on my car trailer, along with a 300 lb tank, and a 200 lb hose reel. Haul said package 260 km, and return with trailer. With an electric, the 2.5 hr outbound trip would have been 3-3.5. Because the return also required me to make two stops at customer sites, that additional hour would have also necessitated not one, but two charging stops on the return leg. Instead, I topped up my tank where I dropped the skid, taking 5 minutes, and got home with 250Km to empty showing on my dash. The round trip was 6.5 hours, total, including a 20 km detour to drop my trailer. In any electric on the market, that would have been a 9-10 hour trip. (Then there was our little jaunt into Montana last week. RD-Kalispell. One tank. Kalispell to Great falls, via Missoula, one tank. Great Falls-home, one tank. We can go 750 km on a 85-90 liters, cruising at 75-80 mph. Yeah, it’s a hemi.)

  7. Yes, because of all the rain we’ve had in CA this year … but … I wonder how many of our myriad of potholes are being caused by 6-9,000 lb e-vehicles POUNDING the pavement? My little burb in the SF Bay Area is just FILLED with e-cars … and the roads are borderline undriveable.

I just told the wife that I’ve had to change everything I ever learned about safe driving, because of ALL the potholes. I used to practice “high aim steering” … where my eyes are always scanning the horizon … but now my eyes have to focus on the road in front of me so I don’t blowout a tire on a pothole.

  8. Cyber truck. The production line is more than half built already. Production begins this year and will ramp up in 24 and 25.

You guys will say how stupid it is and how much you hate it. But really you’re just jealous.

    1. Ok Mary K.
If you like battery cars, good for you.
      But
A – we don’t want to lose our very reliable ICE vehicles and your filthy government wants to ban them
B – if you’re claiming to save the planet with them then you can only use wind and sun power to charge your battery and
C – you don’t get to drive on our roads without paying the fuel taxes that help fund them.
      Ok Mary K?

    2. Bitch please.
None is jealous of this fugly toy. People hate them because they are being pushed by the state as substitutes for real cars, thus denying normal regular people mobility. Have your novelty toy all you like, you’ll get bored, trade it for a dildo that you control with your I-phone or something, none will be jealous of that either.

    3. and what about the chargers and the electricity supply…windmills and solar panels? you truly are moronic

    1. @H.R – Probably both to the same Liberal millionaire who didn’t want to wait on +8hr charge times, so the other is a back-up “for practical reasons”.

      1. Well, then… I guess that made for a very brief sales-by-demographic report, Paul.

  9. Even ol Joe kept the Corvette. Sheesh!
The Bong has daddy’s Mercedes. He appreciated that homeland dictator.
Is this really just a Elon-Greta fanboy-girl club?
