I recall one of his shows where he had on a random bunch of midwits and Zachary Quinto, who when not playing grim SF characters looks like a mincing twink.
The topic was gun control, and after the usual empty shibboleths from the panel the gay science fiction actor calmly destroyed the rest of them with references to Constitutional originalism, essential liberty and self-defense. Maher was gobsmacked. He clearly hadn’t bothered to vet Quinto’s views before inviting him on.
Yes, Maher may have noticed that the crocodile has finally gotten around to eating him, too, but he’s always been firmly on the side of the sneering libs who hate you and your lifestyle.

You can catch his old stand up comedy shows on Internets, he was merciless in his critique of the elites both D and R. Johan, allow me to explain. You’re confusing two unrelated issues.
First there is Ward demanding purity Jacobin style. I have explained my position re Maher, I like Maher although I very often disagree with him. Probably more often than I agree with him. To him it inevitably means that Maher has me fooled. Because Maher is not on his team. That is consistent with Ward earlier accusing me of supporting WEF/Soros/liberal agenda du jeour/conversion therapy/ect etc etc because I support Ukraine and despise Pootin and his Siberian Mongol, orcish horde. Ward is a low IQ is moron who cannot think in other terms. He’d probably have an aneurism if he tried to understand that I can support Trump, believe that his election was stolen, oppose the disgraceful witch hunt that has been cruelly subjected to, and yet believe that Trump is 100% wrong on Ukraine. That level of impurity does not fit Jacobin teamplayer’s shortbus mind.
Second, there is me using the term “orcs”. “Orcs” is a derogatory term commonly used as substitute for “russian” by Ukrainians. It is not different that “Hun”, “Jap”, “Gook” or “Haji” used in other wars. So orc supporters get offended by it? FETE. It is no more offensive than “Ukes” or “Ukronazis”.
So now that we have got that cleared out, do you see how you trying to compare the first with the second makes no sense at all, and any attempts to do so are embarrassing? You’re welcome.
