Yesterday I had the great honour of attending my first Civil War Reenactment. This one was in Olustee, Florida. The day started off a bit chilly so I had one of my Canada toques on. While walking past a group of people, one older gentleman shouted out, “Canadia!” The ignorance & incompetence of Karine Jean-Pierre knows no bounds. I smiled and walked on.

are we in a coalition with the “un-eye-ted states”?
Excited States of Meriker
Well Robert … My only question is … did they fly the Stars and Bars? Or is that deemed “triggering” for a certain segment of our population … so they abstain from flying the flag of the South?
BTW … I don’t believe Jean-Pierre or whatever her name is … misspoke. I believe she called Canadia by the name deemed proper by Jao Bidinh’s Administration. It’s a contraction of Canada and China – Canadia. Chairman Xi demands the ChiCom’s are represented in the NEW name for Canada. Soon … the Giant Panda will be added to the Maple Leaf. Panda’s eat bamboo leaves … and Maple Leaf’s
They could probably get away with flying the ‘Stars and Bars’ – It is the Confederate Battle Flag aka the ‘Southern Cross’ that sends the ‘racists’ into a high speed wobble –
Kenji, I still have a few hundred more to process but here’s where they’ll all go: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/13mC4-YGxHksQRcvawAlqV1fm445sfyAZ
Wow. These people take this SERIOUSLY and do it up with amazing detail and authenticity. Looks like there’s a bit of a swap meet there. OMG! I hope there isn’t a “gun show” ! Nice to see the pic of a cute black woman in the mix.
I swear I’m gonna grow a massive white beard like those guys. Just to scare my neighbors. I’ll call it my “COVID beard” … and sell them my sourdough starter 🙂
I just uploaded another 92 photos: #301 – #392.
Several people told me I need to attend this much larger one: https://chickamauga160.com I have no idea if I can attend in September but we shall see.
Robert- was there a Frederick Douglass re-enactor? If so, what did he do?
Yes. He gave an impactful speech.
One of my photos at the link I shared with Kenji has a photo of him.
Well done Robert! I love all things civil war. Why? I’m not sure. Before I shuffle off my mortal coil I hope to visit at least one battle site.
Here I have Lee’s retreat from Gettysburg which is a master class of logistics. And like pa once said – Any chucklehead can invade a country…leaving it is a whole different matter.

I need to learn much more of the details.
Most excellent!
Thanks for sharing Robert. Pretty cool, and a bit humbling. These aren’t just fans of the civil war, they’re descendants, honouring their forefathers heritage.
Too bad the baddies won that one.
Southern slave-holding culture was diabolical for both blacks and whites. The end of it was a very good consequence of the Civil War.
The South started the War, the North ended it.
Perhaps you should find out what happened, instead of regurgitating MSM talking points.
I suppose you think all human culture pre-1835 was “diabolical.”
“Southern slave-holding culture was diabolical for both blacks and whites. ”
The vast majority of southerners did not own any slaves, though. The Confederacy was about much more than slavery.
“The South started the War, the North ended it.”
Millions disagree on that point, which is why they still call it the War of Northern Aggression down there.
That’s odd. No female soldiers 😉
or sikhs , or samarai or other costumed folk with fake tits or otherwise. no black female lesbian general , no wokeness at all
