It’s Christmas Eve On Turtle Island

Today In Islam:  Muslims and socialists celebrate Christmas in France.  And Christmas in Nigeria.  Update:  Jihad conference in diverse Toronto.

Global Warming Scam News:  Justin’s CBC explains how wonderful solar panels are in Alberta.  I’m sure Notley will be building a lot more when she becomes premier.

Trudeau’s Canada:  We must save the sacred tree frog.  No mining allowed in Canada.  Tam wants money to fight disinformation.  Justin’s CBC celebrates Kwanzaa.

Biden’s America:  Victor Davis Hanson writes about military history.  A mob comes for Madison.  The generosity of Christians.  The truth behind the Three Wise Men.  A Calvinist Santa Claus.

Book Review:  German colonialism in Africa.

Some Christmas Memes:  Santa reads your posts.  Santa in Chicago.  A realistic Christmas.

  1. As it is Christmas Eve I will wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and hope it is a warm and dry one.
    – Was thinking about wind turbines and solar panels overnight. It is of course dark so zero solar, the wind is so high there are also no wind turbines in operation. Sure is a good thing we have gas and nuclear power.
-The weatherman was right, for the past 15 hours or so we have had winds approaching 90km constant snow and the temp is a balmy -8c at the moment. For sure a white Christmas as the snow is forecast to continue for at least another day and a half.

    1. Merry Christmas, sir.
Mother confirmed that in 25 years here (at her home where I am visiting) the temperature has never descended to the level observed this morning. So certainly we are in a crisis of climate; a crisis of climate morons.
I hope Santa is generous to you this year.

    2. VOWG – Merry Christmas to you, Kate and all the SDA regulars. BTW, has anyone seen “Be a Deplorable Rupertslander”?

Speaking of Calvinist Santa, where can I buy a lump of coal (with record sales globally, they must be hard to come by). My wife saw a lump for sale for $40 on the web. Do I have to drive to Vancouver to get one off of a train or ship?

    3. VOWG … thank you for wishing my people a Merry Christmas whether you are a believer or not. You know that I love both believers and skeptics with the same Agape’ love. Or at least I try … because it is what Christ would do … what Christ DID … and DOES. Christmas is the season of HOPE … CREATION … BEGINNING … and GIFTS representing the Greatest Gift possible to mankind. So be generous to one another.

I Pray that we all come to cherish our God-given, inborn, Freedom and Liberty and that no government or corporate conspiracy is ever allowed to snatch that away. Just as God does not CONTROL your thoughts … neither should any government or corporation …ever.

  2. No mining in Canada.
We’re all just gonna work for the government, from home, but for only three 1/2 days a week.
And then, after 1 year of retirement, you get MAID.

    1. What about the water lines???
How do they assess empty buildings with burst lines?
Water infrastructure is a luxury in warmer climates…that can be quite messy when ignored…

      Oh and MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

  3. No mining allowed in Canada
The customers that were going to buy that coal will simply get it elsewhere, probably some jurisdiction with low to non-existent environmental regulations and poor labour standards. Meanwhile, JT and his friends get to enjoy their high standard of living, on the backs of some kids digging coal, and other minerals, in some 3rd World hellhole. Virtue signaling isn’t free

  4. MERRY CHRISTMAS to Kate and friends here at SDA.
Hoping all can celebrate cozy times with family and neighbours.
Since we celebrate the Birth of God’s Son Christ, let’s remember to focus on truth and joy, His indescribable gift of Salvation.
If it is necessary to bring up the mess Canada is in remember this is a distraction.
Hang in there with faith and love.

  5. Merry Christmas to all and may 2023 be a good year!

As I am a major history nut, I thank you for posting about the 3 Wise Men of Christmas and for the article about German Colonialism in Africa. I am always pleased to learn new information.

  6. Merry Christmas to all. And esp. all of you who will brave the EXTREME weather to sing Carols … unmasked … at your local churches. Thankfully, I am in LA … so I won’t have to sing the multi-culti Kwanza songs at my Bay Area Lutheran church. Because nothing says Christian charity quite like singing the songs of make believe “religions”.

    Speaking of make believe …

Our planet is changing. So is our journalism. This weekly newsletter is part of a CBC News initiative entitled “Our Changing Planet” to show and explain the effects of climate change. Keep up with the latest news on our Climate and Environment page.

I pray your CBC comes to their journalistic senses

  7. “Trudeau’s top doc Teresa Tam demands more funds to fight Covid ‘disinformation’”

Sounds like blackmail – give me money and I’ll stop spewing misinformation.
