    1. leave morontario to roll in their own filth. FK Them… and search griner topless basketball pics.. US gov. are total fraudsters, and they specialize i practicing on their own citizens.

    2. “20,522 of 89,863 registered electors (22.84 %) — does not include electors who registered on election day. ”

Somewhat…..underwhelming turnout??? Barring a massive number who registered ON election day…

      “DEMOCRACY!!”

    3. This is Mississauga Lakeshore, it used to be nice thirty years ago, now it is an utter shithole, a mix of white limousine liberal enclaves and turd world dumpsters. UnMe type of place.

    4. What’s wrong with the Local Conservative riding association, all they had to do was get off their ass and get six or seven thousand more votes out and they would have easily won this thing. If this is how PP is going to run things we will lose to Trudeau again.Very disappointing.

      1. Like I noted on another thread, voter apathy is the left’s secret weapon. All the right needs to do is get off their asses & vote.

    1. I am finding it very hard to ‘take the high road’. Most of me wants to say ‘1 down, 100 or so more to go’. After months of vilification by family, friends and foes I am a whole lot less charitable these days.

        1. Zelenskys erection of happiness never stopped him from playing the piano, so don’t let it get you down.

      1. “100 or so more to go”

Closer to 337. How many of the bastards stood up for the people over the course of the last 2 years? Sure, some appeared when it was politically convenient. How many, like a select few of us on these boards, called BS right from the start? I recall a big, fat zero.

  1. Professor: Stop “Colonial” Agriculture, to Save Africa from Starvation and Climate Change

“Agroecology” isn’t going to sort out such hellish deprivation. An African industrial revolution is what is needed. Just as the Western industrial revolution saved Western countries from hunger, misery and insecurity, modern agriculture, fertiliser, pesticide, irrigation, high yields and industry is helping Africa follow in our footsteps, and will ultimately help Africans achieve Western levels of prosperity and security.

    1. People have really high expectations regarding Africa.
Years ago Kim du Toit has written a famous essay “Let Africa Sink” still applies today.
      https://www.kimdutoit.com/2017/05/05/let-africa-sink/
      Best part:
“My favorite African story actually happened after I left the country. An American executive took a job over there, and on his very first day, the newspaper headlines read:
      “Three Headless Bodies Found”.
The next day: “Three Heads Found”.
The third day: “Heads Don’t Match Bodies”.”

      1. Colonialista: A former colleague from Somaliland said his country kicked out the NGOs who were in the charity business, driving around in shiny new SUVs, and afterward their country prospered. He said it was impossible for a local entrepreneur to start a business with outsiders giving stuff away for free. He said they ran the country with a very small number of beurocrats so their taxes were low. We may have to move there.

    1. Wonderful!
I’m currently praying for a little one (first daughter of a client) who was born prematurely on (American) Thanksgiving. She weighed 3 pounds at birth. Perfect in every way, but of course, tiny, underdeveloped and not quite prepared to face the world. At last report she’s doing well and gaining weight.
It’s appalling to me that anyone could support the abortion of infants up to the day of delivery. She is so obviously a lively little human being, worthy of her chance to face life, with all its other challenges.

    1. “suspended” redemptions of “stablecoin”. Kind of writes itself. In unrelated news Sam Bankman-Fried (CEO of FTX) has been charged with Fraud by the SEC.

    1. I wonder if the cameras will be still working outside his cell while his jailers are fast asleep.
Can flimsy toilet paper work as a good neck tie, asking for a friend.

  2. Many have heard the recent advance in the development of fusion energy – more energy out than in, a major advance.

This morning I heard that fusion will be a game-changer because it’s zero-carbon. Made me wonder about that other wonderous energy source – nuclear (fission).

Why would climate science embrace fusion when it won’t embrace the already existing nuclear?

    1. They could have embraced molten salt thorium fueled fission reactors and had a better outcome but unicorn fueled farts seemed to be the road to hoe.

  3. Psychotherapist: I Warned About Sam Brinton, the Nonbinary Biden Official Now Arrested for Theft, but No One Listened

    https://www.dailysignal.com/2022/12/12/psychotherapist-i-warned-sam-brinton-non-binary-biden-official-no-one-listened/

““My colleagues and I warned lawmakers in California and Massachusetts, and the LGBT activist groups which were sponsoring him, about Sam Brinton’s ever-changing story about abuse he allegedly underwent in therapy because of his LGBT attractions,” Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, Jr., the therapist and founder of the Reintegrative Therapy Association, said in a statement first reported by The Daily Signal. “But nobody cared, so Brinton’s testimony about his alleged experience played a key role in banning legitimate practices across the nation.””

I read elsewhere this morning that his ex-bosses refused to comment on a personnel issue. Effective way of slamming the door on the topic.

  4. I’m going to focus on the healthcare aspect here.

FIRST READING: In Canada, everything seems to be getting worse

    https://nationalpost.com/opinion/canada-everything-getting-worse

“The Fraser Institute has been tracking medical wait times since 1993. Their latest tally, released just this week, shows that it now takes an average of 27.4 weeks for a Canadian to secure medical treatment. In other words, from the moment a Canadian notices they may have a serious medical ailment, it takes more than six months until they can go through the gauntlet of referrals and specialist appointments and ultimately receive either surgery or treatment. When the institute started keeping track of Canadian wait times, that process only took 9.3 weeks.”

Have a buddy who was diagnosed for a hip replacement this spring. The consultation process began last fall. It was originally scheduled for Aug/Sep. Three weeks before the surgery was scheduled, he receives an update: Next April, with a possibility of March. Fully 18 months after his first visit to the doctor. Even if his originally scheduled surgery had gone through it would have been ten months. Twenty-seven weeks, my ass.

Without getting into the gory details, he ended up in emergency 6 weeks ago. A week later he gets a shiny new, SS hip joint, w/ accompanying scar. The pain he suffered in the last weeks prior to the surgery I wish upon the politicians who have put us in this mess. Instead of 6-figure bonus cheques for failing miserably, we should be asking for our money back.
