Even since the pandemic began, I’ve been looking for the perfect retort to the “misinformation” smear. At long last, I may have found it.
In 2020-2022, if you tweeted the following flavors of #wrongthink, you may have been shadowbanned by Roth’s team:
—the costs vs. efficacy of lockdowns
—the safety & efficacy of off-label drugs for COVID
—the safety & efficacy of COVID “vaccines” or new Crony Pharma antivirals
Twitter was a cesspool of Evil.
WAS a cesspool of evil.
No longer an echo chamber, it’s a cacophony of people who have too much time on their hands.
It is a chaotic place, I’ll give you that.
Kinda like real life, now.
In Canada, it’s a place where white leftists don’t feel so alone.
Just thinking out loud here, but what is the connection, if any, between a herd animal mentality and liberalism?
Do people with a herd animal mentality gravitate towards monolithic social media platforms and to big cities?
Do they feel the protection of group think and the urge to attack anyone not in their protective mental herd?
Is this one of the reasons why big cities are filled with liberals who seem to despise anyone who is independent or who champions freedom? The pandemic fascism and the response to the Freedom convoy seems to suggest that.
It promotes the Lieberal hive mentality. They scream, “Diversity!”, all the while feeling threatened by anyone who doesn’t subscribe to their mental illness.
They just want to be “happy”.
I think that is certainly part of it, Stan. It’s kind of a “perfect storm.” These people grew up being told they were “special,” when in fact the “special” ones are few and far between. In order to propagate that mislabeling, many find it necessary to align themselves with causes that don’t necessarily hold merit or substance, but allow these defectives to create a sense of accomplishment. There are many examples of these nonsense acts:
1. Wearing a ribbon to bring focus to a specific cause. To these special folks, this is considered an accomplishment.
2. Going all in on movements like climate change, wearing masks, six foot rule etc. They aren’t interested in the factual data reflecting the substance of their positions. They are merely interested in doing “something” that will reflect on their special status.
3. We live in an age of “Immediate Gratification” which is highlighted and reinforced by the age of the internet. In the time before smart phones and computers, more of an effort was placed on individual accomplishment and perseverance. Having this all at their fingertips has removed motivation and rugged individual tendencies. Short version…life is now too easy and doesn’t allow the development of integrity, dependability, or honor.
4. The attitude that “if I can’t do it, or you’re better at it than I” then I’m going to tear it down, or force you to provide to me the same benefits if I could do it.
5. Simple communicative skills and interaction with others is lost on an entire generation. They would rather bury their faces into a smart phone screen.
6. Trends rule importance. This seems minor, but it is defining the youngest generations. I’ll use Tattoos as an example. Most generations don’t think they are a good idea, and some of us think they reflect bad judgement as they are permanent. Not so with younger generations. They’ll cover themselves in them because others in their social circle do the same.
Short version of the above….the hippies from the late 50’s and 60’s became parents. Leading by example was not their strong suit.
@Stan – They want the protection of insulated bubbles despite reality. I’m reminded of the guy in the Matrix movie, sipping his wine in a 5 star restaurant fully aware that it was an illusion but opting for it over the reality he knew existed outside the illusion.
Note that “liberalism” has nothing to do with the “Liberals” (or similar parties). Small l “liberalism” stands for free markets, capitalism, limited state, and individual over collective rights (and only recognizes negative rights).
Heard mentality belongs to socialists, islamists, and the like.
Quite true, Johan. I probably should have used the term ‘self described liberals’ or just ‘leftists’.
Still waiting for the paper trail about the weekly meetings between the social media companies and government organizations.
There’s got to be some stuff unless Baker managed to nuke it all.
Re: outsourcing critical thinking. Just imagine what will happen when the next famine actually comes? Will Billions of people blindly accept Twitter’s survival decrees? Perhaps there’s a very good reason God/Nature developed our critical thinking skills and innate self-interest? It’s our PRIMARY survival skill.
Posted earlier in “I’m not apologizing for speaking the truth!” and left a video clip there. I can’t help but post this video here,
