    1. Offspring’s friend works for CRA and – at the beginning of the pandemic – had seven months’ paid leave until the powers-that-be could connect said friend into their network. The few times I’ve had to phone CRA have not been great. I’m lucky if I’m on hold for only an hour, and then it’s been a worker obviously at home and with a small child in the background and I do wonder how much attention is being paid to my query and how much access said worker has to resources to properly respond. One exception was a Francophone for whom I was obviously the last caller she would take and her advice was so bad I checked with an organization I know to confirm was 180 degrees wrong.
