Your Moral and Intellectual Superiors

  1. Yet that was the information that many, if not most, people went by. My uncle was adamant that the Truckers Convoy was a white supremacist operation. He’s too stupid to come to that conclusion on his own so guarantee he got it from the media.

    1. I actually liked what I saw of Chief Sloly in the early days of the protest from the alternative media that I watch. He seemed quite reasonable and tried hard not to escalate conflict. The Board Chair was an absolute loon and the Deputy Chief who ultimately replaced him as Interim Chief is a nakedly ambitious political climber. I’m going from memory, but about the end of the first week there was a 2 hour emergency Police Services Board meeting called by the Chair between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm that was videocast and in which they harangued him non-stop. I remember thinking at the time, “Surely he’s got more important things to do at this point than pander to these imbeciles?” A few days later, he resigned. Again, if memory serves, a few days after that his named successor from outside the OPS turned the job down. The whole process, as well as this current inquiry, re-enforced for me the extent to which Ottawa should be avoided at all costs!

      1. Ya, my memory of it all is like yours. Sloly is coming out looking pretty good actually; it seems like he was trying to be reasonable, just keep it all contained, and let the political class sort it out. Kinda like what you’d expect the cops to be doing. Even at the time, it seemed the media and politicians just kept hammering on him to “solve the problem” when it was never his to solve.

  2. Random unidentified pseudo cops?? They were Wagner Group, just like the unidentified January 6 perpetrators.

  3. It’s a complete mystery….

    Gov’t Grateful For Coverage

“Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez is promising more media subsidies after thanking reporters for their Freedom Convoy coverage. “Look at the role that the journalists played,” said Rodriguez: “I think there are even more things we should be able to do.”

    https://www.blacklocks.ca/govt-grateful-for-coverage/

….I guess we’ll never know why this happened

    1. Thank goodness there aren’t other examples of collusion between the media and the Trudeau Liberal government (and former Supreme Court judges)…

“They seem quite keen on the idea of you retaining an ex SCC judge to get advice on this. Katie Telford thinks it gives us cover in the business community and the legal community, and that it would allow the prime minister to say we are doing something. She was like “if Jody is nervous, ***we would of course line up all kinds of people to write op-eds saying that what she is doing is proper.***”

Referring to interfering with Canada’s now former attorney general to help a Quebec corporation, SNC Lavlin, evade criminal prosecution.

      1. – And serving Soupreme Court judges. Two blatantly-political-and-$crew-the-Constitution decisions out of them – so far – that I’m aware of…

        1) Gerard Comeau, a New Brunswick resident who bought booze in Quebec where it was cheaper, and the RCMP seized it at the NB border. The Constitution says there’ll be no blocks to interprovincial trade, but the Soupremes said “Well yes, but the Provinces make a lot of money on liquor sales so we’re letting it stand.” What’s the LAW say, Soupremes, ’cause that’s what you’re there to rule-on: https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/beer-battle-new-brunswick-man-files-constitutional-challenge-over-right-to-buy-cheap-alcohol-in-quebec

        2) the western Provinces’ challenge to the carbon tax. The Soupremes said “Well yes but greenhouse gases are an existential threat to us all so we’re letting it stand.” WHO SAYS it is, and what’s that got to do with Canadian law anyways, Soupremes?

        1. Strange how my comment was not posted. Perhaps because I included a link?
Anyway, to add to your list of SCOC faux-pas, I will remind you that “The Truth is not a defence.” (in reference to the Whatcott case of so-called “hate speech.”

        2. Canada is a very cold banana republic. Under the Trudeau Liberal government, there’s now corruption in every government agency and institution. Judges, military, rcmp, public health…can’t think of anything they haven’t poisoned. Media and journalists are Trudeau government employees.

          1. LC; You have said what many people are thinking. I sort of feel sorry for Chief Sloly. He was trying to do too things…bring peace and understanding of the truckers and do the bidding of Trudeau and co. That’s a hard horse to ride. Many people myself included have absolutely no trust in any form of government, the police “after watching the brutal take down of peaceful protesters” and the medical institutions in general. Hopefully this inquiry will show the world how corrupt our government is and bring change and retribution swiftly.

        3. Y Knott

Those are 2 Great reasons for Alberta & Sask to say Adios mofo’s.

“Supreme Court”….?? that’s, a lark…… little difference between Urinalists and judges in this country. Perennial Liberal Ass kissing garbage

  4. So reporting that people got trampled by horses or shot with teargas is bad for morale? Poor, hard done by police… Actually, I think the police got too much sympathetic coverage.

      1. Don’t laud Sloly yet as some kind of hero just yet. First, he was referring to the “misinformation” wrt his police force only, not to the lies spewed against the truckers.
Also, remember that Sloly is associated with Deloitte, who helped him get the Ottawa job in the first place. Why is this important to note? Because Deloitte has been linked to globalists.

      2. Sloly was a politically-correct, dark-skinned appointee who was supposed to smile and pose for pictures with his woke political masters, which he did.
When the time came for real, hard policing matters, he was shown to be in way over his head. His naivete allowed his masters to use him as a sacrificial lamb.
His replacement was a jackboot thug, brought in to do the Prime Minister’s bidding.
NONE of these people deserve to be anywhere near power or authority.
NONE of these people deserve any sympathy. The whole lot of them should be sequestered at the nearest university campus where their style of rule would be welcomed (a few deserve jail sentences.)

  5. Perhaps he should be asked what level of “national emergency” justifies trampling peaceful protesters with horses even though it improves police morale.

  6. This guy is blaming everybody else under the sun… protesters, media, politicins, other law enforcement – but not so much for him or OPS.

Crying on the stand, saying his officers were working in “inhuman” conditions. Seems like the latest graduate cum laude of the Justin P. Trudeau Part-Time Drama School.

    1. 90% reduction in crime in the core during the “occupation,” The most peaceful protest in human history where even the cops were smiling and telling me that this was the easiest op they’ve ever been involved in.

      Oh, how inhumane!

  7. The Ottawa police should have done a better job in broadcasting the truth of the situation.

Either they can be a source of facts, or someone else will be, and they won’t like it.

    1. Police chief Bell lied ON THREE DOCUMENTED OCCASIONS regarding the freedom convoy. The OPS are incapable of telling the truth, at least as far as Chief Bell, and the truckers are concerned. The most recent lie was revealed in his testimony at the EA hearings where he had to admit under oath that the “violence” experienced “did not meet the criminal code definition” of violence, but rather the violence [the community] “felt by having excessive horns blared.”
I’m pretty sure that’s not what he meant at the time during the “occupation” when he constantly referred to the “violence” by the truckers, and I’m reasonably certain that little factoid was deliberately omitted from his statement at the time.

  8. Erodes public trust? Or exposed truth in action? After the High River episode, and a total lack of explanation and or accountability, there has been a gradual and accelerating jaundiced view of our nation’s state of policing for this old fart. Cannot stand to watch any police drama show on TV anymore, just propaganda for the criminals in uniform. Shoot the guy in Port Ryerse, SIU will clear you. My brother in law was a former auto insurance adjustor. He could tell you stories of collusion between cops and certain elements of society regarding accident scamming. The lack of justice in this corrupt world is being exposed.

    1. You mean there was collusion and payoffs between a certain woolly car enthusiast employed by the opp, and tow truck operators?

  9. What, I’m supposed to get wobbly in the knees because a cop has a crying jag over morale? Try having your bank account frozen. Sloly also said his cops were seeing increasing levels of threats and anti social behaviour from convoy participants which is a steaming pile of B.S.
So now he has the sadz over MSM misinformation. Geez, that’s a shame.
    Welcome to the party, pal.

  10. Trudeau wouldn’t remove the truck driver vaccine mandate to end the protests because the sole reason for the trucker vaccine mandate was to provoke protests that could be used politically.
The emergencies act use was just an extension of that same cheap and dangerous political game.
Probably pre-planned along with the travel and trucker vaccine mandates.

Why can’t we see the cabinet documents regarding the Freedom protests?
    You know why.

    1. I also know that, if by some miracle, the Conservative Party gets elected, that they also will not release them.
Or change much, if anything.(see Stephen Harper)

No doubt PP will be an even bigger disappointment.
He’s soon to be getting redder by the day.
Or wake up one fine morn to find out he’s Canada’s latest Media appointed and approved Hitler-incarnate.
And on his knees before you can say BLM.
Don’t start the job unless you have the balls to finish it.(see Stephen Harper)

So far,Kari Lake has more balls than every Canadian Conservative Politician since Dief put together.
      And then some.
      But we’ll see.

  11. How can Sloly say that when the Canadian Prime Minister says we have the best media that money can buy?

    1. Like everything else Stupid does, one must wonder why he bought something the Liberals already owned?

Same dishonest, biased, partisan, co-opted Liberal lickspittle Media it has always been.

      I don’t see a difference,do you ?

  12. Its funny because Sloly was hired primarily because he is considered the right colour of pigmentation, but as soon as he started referring to citizens “Charter Rights” of protest he was unceremoniously defrocked from the Anal Schwab Battalion and replaced with a lying hate filled psychopathic ‘white guy” who thought protesters should be, “hunted down” even after the protest had ended.

The Media wanted blood and Sloly wasn’t giving it to them.

President Trump said it best, ” the Media are the enemy of the people”… and Cops aren’t much better.

  13. Too bad the protesters weren’t sex offenders then the Turdhole Charter and its unelected political interpreters would have granted them protection, but yeah keep trying Mr. Peckford.

Sex offenders have rights and freedoms, protesters do not.
If you want to protest the decision prepare to be arrested and have your bank account frozen.

    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/supreme-court-rules-mandatory-sex-offender-registry-is-unconstitutional/ar-AA13ujFZ?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=4e638a6a099c447dbd7069ecab7a470a

  14. BOB KERR, former Deputy Chief, Toronto – in 2000 did a televised interview with CTV/CBC where he balled his eyes out in fear of a man, Craig Bromell (president of the Toronto Police Association w/ 7k members) – even though Kerr’s Chief told him he didn’t have to live in fear of Bromell – Kerr cried and cried.

Something afoot with Deputy Chiefs from Toronto it seems.

  15. So slowly, Sloly starts whimpering at the pretend hearing! Boo hoo! After what I witnessed these “law enforcement officers” do to the legal, non violent, bouncy castle protestors, and do it with glee, I will never trust or respect any of them again. I’m not so stupid as to show my distrust and disrespect directly, but never will I trust any of them. This includes politicians, SCC and justices. They have shown us all, that they are in a a big club, but we are not, and are considered scum to be abused as they see fit. I’ll see to me and mine and those that are as like-minded as I am.

I am so disgusted at what they’ve done to us, the people of Canada, and to the country itself. A once proud Canada, and a people reduced to sheep, herded by a drama queen.

  16. “Says it eroded public trust in the police force.”

I don’t think it is true, but if it is, that is a good thing. Maybe if cops did not act like an occupation force people would trust them a little more. Jackbooted thugs one and all.

  17. Individuals are responsible for their own moral and the moral of the organizations they head. It’s not the responsibility of media or society to make cops happy.

  18. The f@g is desperate to pass the blame on to ANYONE.

    Sloly and Ford will do.

    We need Romanians.
