  1. I would have assumed Mayor Adams was too young to have ever heard the term … wetback.

Why hasn’t Mexico ever won an Olympic medal in swimming? Because they all swim for America

  2. It seems to be the prevailing trend: all mayors since Rudi Guiliani in NYC have to be morons. Adams, de Blasio and Bloomberg were all dimwits.

    1. Hochul is so stupid that it’s surprising she remembers how to breathe. Congratulations Dems, you found another politician even more stupid than the cackling idiot Kamala Harris.

  3. I seriously need somebody to explain to me how this is racist. Please be kind, I genuinely don’t understand. It looks like just an insulting joke to me, which was based on the actions of the border violators. Not based on their race. What does it have to do with race?

    1. You are correct; it’s not racist. Adams is simply ridiculously stupid and making a joke which is absurd. The only takeaway from this newspiece is that Adams is a moron.

    2. You could start with Kenji’s joke on Olympic medals alluding the Mexicans, and then shift to my joke about blacks not being able to swim.

With all the immigrants swimming across the border to America (much of the border wall is water), we should hire them as life guards. That joke, coming from a black person (blacks are notoriously bad swimmers) makes it extra funny. Plus the fact that it can’t be racist because the mayor is black and …. well …. blacks can’t be racist.

      1. Adams is just upset because he had to face down his generation’s Korn Pop on a basketball court.

  4. Apparently my response to this thread is blocked for some reason. Is this an ongoing to security feature? I promise it was civil. 😀

    1. I’ve started clearing all my caches regularly. It seem to have helped in my case. Geeze … didn’t know I was surfing the “dark web”. ‍♂️

  5. Generally speaking.. People from third world countries are not good swimmers.. Sitting around the pool or hanging out at the lake is not a thing.. But whatever, I guess..

We can pretend they are good swimmers.. I’m good with that..

  6. Very much back in the day took lifeguard training as our summer holiday had us camping at a really nice lake with a great beach but no “supervision’. Fortunately, did not have to act on my training as all the other parents at the beach were aware of the situation and keeping a good eye on their young’uns. But my training did give me a proper appreciation of the skills required for being a lifeguard, and swimming (apart from a basic strong swim) was the least of them.

    1. “the skills required for being a lifeguard”

You mean like looking cool and ignoring the dead kids piling up at the bottom of the pool?
