  1. Had a Bull Terrier back in the day, I loved him and he loved me. “naughty” is being very charitable.
Irredeemable rascal is likely the better description.
    I miss him every day.

      1. Argh, I hate that nomenclature!!
It’s a Staffordshire (Bull) Terrier, or American Staffordshire (Bull) Terrier!
A regular Bull Terrier is Spuds Mackenzie!
All can be loveable, or loathsome, it’s up to the owner!

  2. Not a fan of any bull type dog. Almost got bit riding my bike last weekend when someone’s little staffy angel ripped the leash out of their hand and came flying out of the bushes next to me.

  3. I’m in a remote camp in Northern Ontario and up comes this older gentleman with a 14-year-old labradoodle that thinks it’s a puppy. Its specialty is pulling Kleenex out of the ladies’ pockets and ripping it to pieces. Then barking for a treat. Friendliest dog you could meet.

Then the owner dropped a bombshell. The dog was being put down in a few days because of severe seizures. It fell down the stairs the other day and its rear legs just stopped working for several hours. He didn’t want the dog getting injured and dying a painful death. Was near tears admitting his dog had only a few days left.

And the dog played on, running up and down the laneway, barking for treats, trying to get into buildings to check out the kitchen garbage. A real rascal.

The owner claimed the dog was like that every day of his life. Every day was a party. As a truck driver, he took his dog down to California and his dog made its way onto a local dog calendar. Always everyone’s best friend, great with kids.

So live every day as though it may be your last. You happiness will bring joy to others. And for heaven’s sakes – get a dog.

    1. We did last December. A friend of my son died from Guillan Barre syndrome, a vax victim. He had a 10 year old Frenchie. His daughter works full time while we are retired and my son persuaded the daughter that the dog would live out his days enjoying a house and garden.

      1. Good wishes to all concerned…we’re grateful a rescue dog came into our life, and you will be too.
