You know it’s a tradition that anytime a Philadelphia pro sports team wins anything the fans celebrate by burning down the city and shooting each other. Maybe there’s nothing left in Philadelphia worth burning down and everybody has already been shot.

  2. Derek Chauvin. I came across this thread yesterday. It is a detailed explanation of the GF incident, and, sorry, it is a bit long. It describes Bells Mania or Extreme Delerium Syndrome and how the neck restraint evolved as a solution. Chauvin did what he was trained to do. Though you can’t prove it by me, many policeman indicated that the procedure that was used on GF was part of their training and was in their manual until it was hastily deleted.

  3. Full disclosure. It is not being claimed that GF died of Extreme Delirium Syndrome. Rather, his symptomology mimicked ExDS and the police were responding to that, with the appropriate technique. In other words, if the policemen were guilty of anything, at all, it was they misdiagnosed GF.

  4. As a veteran who has been retired since 2018; I can say without a doubt. Veterans Affairs…is NOT there to help veterans. Since the Liberals were elected, Veterans affairs has become the organization that is acting as a backstop so that veterans don’t embarass the Liberals.

    Vets have to fight tooth and nail for anything they get. I have always received a big fat “NO” from any claim with veterans affairs; regardless of my documented evidence. Veterans affairs is like any other bureaucracy, it exists to sustain itself.
    When you hear a lIberal cabinet minister talk about the claims that have been “resolved”……what she is actually telling you, is that they are simply saying NO to everyone to speed up the number of “resolved” cases.

    Saying no and denying a claim…..is a “resolved” claim.

    Liberals corrupt anything they touch.

  10. That’s great news about the 35,000 new federal servants. Jab ’em, tag ’em and slab ’em.

    I was thinking that the hiring was to cover up the sick and dying. Holy crap, I may have been right. The article says there are 28,000 bureaucrats on long term leave not receiving full salary.

    That’s seems like a lot. Maybe some babies survived the cull, but I’m betting a lot of that long term leave are sick people or people taking care of sick people. In any event, great news! Those people hate me.

    1. I worked as replacement office staff during the first 2 summers of university while in Ottawa. I was paid very well for the non-existent work which I did (read paper back novels or knitted) and only saw the civil servants scurry around every 2nd Friday when their pay cheques were handed out (this was in the days before direct deposit). That was 50 years ago and I would hazard a guess that it is the same today, only with more people.

  16. Its a lot easier to slap people repeatedly when one of their hands is tied. Or glued.
    I think most public servants only use one hand at work. And those are the useful ones.
    Of course, you only need one hand to operate a legal or illegal pistol and I imagine with practice you could load/unload it with one hand depending on your need/desire.
    I have two hands and they’re applauding the “Retirement” of the hypocrite Suzuki.
    If it were legal I’d use one hand to speed his impending demise and both hands to shovel the bullshit he should be covered by.
