…as predicted by the very people who did everything in their power to create those difficult days. Did they actually think that over two years of lockdowns for “non-essential” businesses and a ruinously expensive and disruptive war would usher in an age of unprecedented prosperity?
Speaking at an auto industry conference in Windsor, Ont., Freeland said she would be honest with Canadians about the roadblocks that lie ahead and the threat of higher unemployment and mortgage rates — developments that could hurt many households.

Freeland is a damned journalist, one of those people who need to take their shoes and pantyhose off (I know – ugh!) to count past 10. That she’s Canada’s finance minister is all you need to know to understand this is a 1st world country with a government that couldn’t even run a 3rd world sh*thole.
Can I beseech every commenter to substitute PRESSTITUTE instead of media or journalist. They really hate that.
That slow death of a thousand cuts by our politicians imposed laws on EVERYTHING…
Making illegal what used to be a living.
All in the name of a globalization experiment that failed and our politicians still have not changed its direction of massive economic bankruptcies.

One Gigantic Milgram Experiment.
People are, as a general rule, sheep.
*
#Libranos & NDP = roadblocks
Old Canada too…
Certainly it is only “transitory ”
An investigation into Pierre’s hashtags will solve it. Surely we are in the best of hands and no doubt they will come up with new and creative ways to cause or put us out of our misery.
We all know she won’t be having “difficult days” nor will any member of the parasite class that are usually described as “elites”
“”We cannot compensate every single Canadian for all of the costs of inflation driven by a global pandemic and Putin’s invasion of Ukraine,” Freeland said.”
To say nothing of the uncontrolled expansion of the parasite class, and wasteful spending of the Trudeau/Singh Junta
Exactly, difficult for real everyday Canadians. Not difficult for her. But don’t worry, she’s here for us. She “feels” our pain.
I’m pretty sure she “feeds” our pain, not “feels”
And what better location to begin being honest about high unemployment and mortgage rates than in that bastion of rock ribbed socialism, Windsor Ontario.
Now don’t you worry your pretty little heads Windsor commies…the coming storm won’t affect you in the least.
I hope that sentiment on the war changes quickly enough to put an end to it before it completely spirals out of control.
I noticed that the Communist Broadcasting Corpse shut down the comments as the conversation wasn’t being compliant with the narrative
I dunno.
An ex-journalist pretending to understand basic economics.
Doesn’t sound right to me.
As for Blackie: 13 + 14 =?
Seriously.

Giving people money the government doesn’t have to help them cope with a situation the government created is the reason we’re here in the first place ya cunned stunt.
If her head was removed it would probably keep talking in that irritating, condescending voice that takes the lead out of any normal man’s pencil.
I really think it should be legal to beat the shit out of Liberal voters.
JUSTINFLATION defined:
“Giving people money the government doesn’t have to help them cope with a situation the government created
is the reason we’re here in the first place ya cunned stunt”
1) there is no threat of inflation due to the government borrowing then “spending” a trillion dollars
2) there is no inflation, like we said
3) there is some inflation, but not everywhere, and its not bad, so point 1 stands, please ignore point 2
4) there is some inflation in some minor areas such as fuel, housing and food, but its manageable
5) its only for a short time, just like two weeks to flatten the COVID curve, remember then?
6) inflation is actually good, Colbert says so, and who would know better than a celebrity millionaire?
7) the government has a plan for inflation if it ever really becomes a for real problem for real people
8) you’ll love wage and price controls…
9) its corporate greed that somehow didn’t exist two years ago, just started overnight
10) did we mention the inflation that isn’t happening, but would be great, is Putin’s fault?
11) overturning Roe will damage the economy
12) CTRL/H inflation/stagflation
13) CTRL/H stagflation/recession
14) CTRL/H recession/New Great Depression
Note: blame the Conservataives is taken for granted for being 1a), etc.
They’re just softening us up for #8, as Trudeau: the Reboot continues.
Remember “6 and 5?”
Freeland said she would be honest with Canadians. Bovine excrement – she has yet to be honest about anything, except her name (and we have all kinds of alternative expressions for that).
Don’t worry. None of the Liberal Party elite are suffering. In fact they have profited handsomely from all of this.
Government takes your rights and licenses them back to you.
They take your money and give you back a little bit of it.
And morons keep voting for more of it.
That is one of the best summaries of Canadian govt I have ever heard. Well done!
Mr. Gibault is uncannily able to escape any, and all condescension somehow, and he is at the very least the copilot in this about to crash mess we call affectionately Canada.
He is the radical. It is he who is calling the environmental shots – where the money goes, where it doesn’t go and so forth. The illusionist PM couldn’t find his ass with both hands and a flashlight. As far as the finance minister? See above, regarding where the koney should be allocated.
Alberta cannot stay in this eff’n mess. There will never ever be an upside!!
The libranos are pivoting. Freeland has realized the spending has to stop. PP is gaining traction with voters and the libranos know it.
The libranos underlings and supporters the ndp won’t like the librano belt tightening. They might (unlikely) pull the plug on the government forcing an election.
Make her lose her pension.
The libranos are setting the table for an election. They will present themselves as the best option for fiscal responsibility. They have read the tea leaves. The climate thing isn’t selling when corn flakes cost $10/box.
Look for more Freeland and less Bong. She will be presented as a fiscal fighter.
