I was on the receiving end of some of this. Confronting the judgement and belittlment wasn’t that hard (maybe the years of grade school bullying thickened my skin).
It was watching people I knew well, respected and loved fall to the charade. People I thought were smart, astute and well reasoned became group-think zombies right before my eyes. Every day I woke up to Facebook posts bragging about getting the vaccine, or had cheery phone calls enquiring when and what type of vaccine I was going to get.
And when they were all zombified adequately, they began to turn into the little tyrants they had literally been programmed as.
Watching the behaviour modification unfold before me, in people I knew well, was far more chilling than personally dealing with their attack methods.
Yes it was an eye opener.

My doctor knows my heels are dug in and ignores my maskless face when I’m sitting three feet from him. Actually, it was he who, after informing him I had a scratchy throat over Christmas said I did NOT, in fact, need a vaccine.

One good thing about being a pureblood and advertising it, is it keeps the fools and idiots at a distance! In truth, my friend pool is not very large, and I’ve lost none. (quality not quantity) The family pool, is shallower, intelligence wise, and I’ve lost a half dozen, but regret losing only one or two of them. The rest were no great loss. Jeez, I’ve not even had a flu shot in over thirty years, and I have had the flu once since then, in March 2000. I guess I’ll just continue to follow my own nose for all things that affect me.
