  2. I like the hopeful conclusion that she might be voted out of office, as if Chicago won’t “elect” some Democrat functionary just as inept. The lunatics have been running the asylum for generations in Chicago.

  3. Lightfoot had 17.5% of the vote among 14 candidates.

    Ended up winning run-off with 73%.

    The opposition is fractured.

    1. Hence the flaws in ‘voting’.

      The problem is not so much with the system itself as there are pros and cons with every method.

      (example – five people voting on a group meal: soy, soy, beef, lamb, pork. Under first past the post Soy wins with 2 votes. Under preference voting 3/5 clearly want to eat meat. Same votes. Different result.)

      It is less how the system works, and more that the vast majority do not understand the system (including some candidates in many cases) and blindly trust that they are taking part in a free and fair election.

      Technically they are, but in practice the better performers are the ones who fully understand how the game works.

      Lightfoot, I am willing to bet, has a team who fully understand how the game works.

      Just saying.

  5. L – The video below of a driver deliberately striking pedestrians and killing the three that went flying through the air. Well, by using a vehicle, he does not add to the “killed by a gun” narrative.

    If this keeps up, Chicago could set a trend for drive-through shopping and drive through
    night life, too. It’s safer than parking and walking, but the carbon footprint isn’t a light one.

    1. There is a solid base for the Dems that will put their X beside any candidate regardless of ability or background. Thus Lightfoot and Brandon among others. They love to call any strong conservative Hitler but the truth is, they could use a time machine, bring Hitler back and run him and the same people would vote for him. Two or three time’s.
