A licensed Texas attorney and federally-appointed immigration magistrate was taken into custody for allegedly smuggling migrants and resisting arrest on Saturday.
According to Galveston County Constable Jimmy Fullen, Timothy Daniel Japhet was arrested and charged for the “smuggling of a human and resisting arrest” in Kinney County, TX. Fullen made the announcement on his Facebook page, along with pictures of Japhet and the four men he was accused of smuggling across the US-Mexico border.

Instead of persecuting these great humanitarians they should be going after decrepit souls like Abbot.
WTF is a County Mountie arresting someone for an immigration offense. His story is he gave 4 hitch-hikers a ride. They sorta have to prove him wrong. His crime is smuggling 4 not 4 million like Biden. I suspect the feds will take over prosecution and drop all charges. The resisting arrest charge is likely a bullshit add on. Half the resisting arrests in rural America have no primary offense. Likely when the deputy hit him he didn’t fall down fast enough.
What are the feds doing taking over prosecution for a legal arrest made by a county Mountie?
Speculation on my part. While local police may be able to arrest people for federal offenses, it is unlikely they could/would prosecute them.
Pretty soon kate will have to ditch the line”things you’ll never see on CNN”, as CNN may not survive much longer.
And Scarp, does sanity ever enter you brain cavity????
Come on, peasants!
Like scar said all the guy crossed over was 4: a gardener, a cook, a dog walker and a chauffeur, that’s all he needed…how dare you Kate!…he’s a “Federal Magistrate” and probably a Democrat appointee …your disrespectful post is deplorable. /S.
Who’s up for a bet? I’ll wager that this guy launders money for the cartel(s). Sounds outlandish, I know. But, if you dig a bit you can find that he handles property transactions in Mexico….and he is NOT an Immigration Magistrate.
Incidentally, the resisting arrest charge stems from him leading the police on a high speed chase. He claimed it was to get their attention because the four he picked up made him nervous.
He has an address. Find it and protest outside banging pots and pans all night long. Follow him to the grocery store and restaurant. Get in his face.
A future supreme court judge, I guess… Or the new Federal Attorney General when Garland is finally crowbared into the supreme court by Biden/Harris.
Shades of Maxine Waters there, Arty?!
I want to know more about the “immigration judge” part. This and all the other articles seem to gloss over that part. When was he appointed?
