    I honestly believed that even the dullest dipper and lib voters would have figured out this is a hoax by now. Once again my faith in humanity has been lowered. Gore et al must be laughingly incredulous at how long they’ve been able to string people along with this.

  3. Metallurgical coal has just had over a year of the highest prices on record. Now thermal coal is following (for a different reason).

    You can have green or you can have energy. Pick one.

    Oh, and enviros, CO2 is plant food so cleanly burning coal or nat gas or oil or gasoline means more CO2 in the air and tree line moving farther north, farther up the mountains, and closer to the deserts. Want more ecological diversity? Get CO2 levels back up to the 2000-5000 ppm range so we can get macro-flora like in the time of the dinosaurs.

    1. CO2% will affect the efficiency of plants with little affect on where they’ll grow. More CO2 means plants will grow faster. Better for agriculture. Better for natural plants.

      Remember earth atmosphere is 0.7808 Nitrogen and 0.2095 Oxygen and 0.0093 Argon leaving other elements/compounds with 0.0004 share. CO2 is 0.00038 (1/550 of Oxygen share) with 0.000018 being Neon and 0.000002 being other elements/compounds. I doubt that changes in human generated CO2 is even measurable within this 0.00038 base.

    2. You can have wealthy, industrialized, capitalist nations make fossil fuel energy cleaner and cleaner. Coal smokestack scrubbing technology, and the clean up of the internal combustion engine are remarkable achievements. LA’s skies are phenomenally cleaner today than in the 1970’s. Having experienced BOTH eras … there is no comparison … it should be shouted from the mountaintops … how fantastic an achievement ICE engine technology truly is. And computer chips managing engines has a LOT to do with that

      1. Exactly right. IN the late 1980’s and early 1990’s the air in Denver in summer was positively acrid and bitter, and they never have days like that now. The new, clean coal technology that Japan is implementing should be used everywhere.
