    3. The mitre is not a sign of a fish god. It is in fact supposed to represent the gospels, a stylised open book with two bookmarks, becoming custom from the Church having its beginning in cultures where men of rank wore headgear almost compulsorily…

      The traditional prayer of imposition of the mitre (and the prayer supposed to be said when donning it) make this fundamentally clear, as well as reminding the wearer that he bears “… the helmet of salvation, armed with the horns of both Testaments…”, and must “… appear terrible to the enemies of Truth”! But scrapping the traditional Consecration Rite in the 60s/70s as they did, along with almost everything else prayerful, rational and effective, I doubt few if any current wearers of mitres even know that now…

      2. There is reality, and then there are the lies that the Vatican tells its adherents for cover.

        The mitre is most certainly representative of Dagon, the fish god. Once people started catching on, they stopped using the ones with the obvious eyes on them. And started making the tail more ribbon-like. In the same manner, they removed some of the more noticeable pagan symbols on the hat.

        And it isn’t just the hat, it includes their vestments. You can see obvious comparisons to ancient priests of Dagon and current Roman Catholic cardinals and popes. Catholic means universal. Only today it pretends to be “Christian”, despite not changing one iota of their pagan beliefs and rituals.

        Only renaming their gods, and coming up with new lies to paint a razor thin veneer of Christianity over their paganism. Nothing Rome teaches is Biblical. Instead they attempt to justify what they already believed by twisting and stretching out-of-context Biblical passages. And sadly that satisfies most of the Catholic faithful who are unwilling to do any research of their own.
