True North- Canadian Scouts stranded in Switzerland after ArriveCan glitch

A group of Canadian Scouts aged between 12 to 14 were stranded in Zurich, Switzerland due to troubles with the government’s ArriveCan app.

According to CTV News, six of the group including four youth were unable to board a scheduled flight back to Canada after an application glitch failed to register the passengers.

Before the problem could be fixed, the group’s flight had already left.

  3. Other than the fact ArriveCan is not required for Canadian citizens to return to Canada it would have been a good story.

    1. I guess you havent travelled? You have to show your arrivecan # before they will give you a boarding pass. Canadian or not.

        2. Well even if we take your comment as accurate, the quarantine or other fascist concepts could be levied against Canadians returning to Canada. By the way, why should someone who has natural immunity from a previous COVID infection not be considered to be “fully vaccinated”? Especially when natural immunity is FAR superior.

        4. Denying someone boarding is saying that they will NOT be allowed on the flight.

          Stuffing them around until the plane leaves without them is not actually the same thing.

          Also, you seem to be remarkably trusting that published words have magical power on the real world. I am pretty sure that in no official documents does it say that you WILL die in a traffic incident, but people still die on the roads.

    3. My friend coming back from San Diego had to have the app on his phone or could not board the plane. After 7 failed attempts he contacted the Canadian Consulate and they instructed the Air Canada clerk that they had to let him board as they couldn’t stop him from returning but without the consulate’s help he would not be on that plane.

I have relatives in SK that have done the booster quad, regular rapid testing (cause it’s free) and love the ArriveCCP App. They claim, It’s so convenient, just like showing your QR code to go to the Casino or get an eat in Pizza. They openly boast about how great it is to be treated as “special”. And they are NOT Trudeau supporters or voters.
