I was laid off just before covid, I not only did not receive any covid money, I also received no EI money. I spent the first six months of the lock down fighting with my former employer (the federal government) for back pay, and unused holidays to be paid out. It added up to over ten thousand. From my experience they don’t pay out what is owed unless politicians act on your behalf.
I retired just months before my sixty fifth, March 3, 2019 and spent the next month moving. Did not file for EI. Unloaded a household by myself (my family and friends couldn’t help because we might have been infectious and were subjected to draconian isolation rules.) FAOT.
Did not receive the seniors covid bucks for obvious reasons and lost my rights in the following two years.
I no longer care if Canada survives and if the majority of clot shot recipients pass, that just means less cars on the highway.

He’s disabled and he didn’t have much good to say about our local Dipper MP. She voted against CERB payments to the disabled here because it was–get this!–a Conservative motion. At the same time, he fumed that disabled foreign students qualified for them but he, a Canadian, was off the list.
