    1. One will have to be very stupid to even think that getting a shot every nine months would be necessary for anything. Do not comply. STOP THE MADDNESS.

  1. – It’s just transitory
    – It’s going to be a soft landing -> you are here
    – it’s not Trudeau’s fault
    – Well it is but he’s cool and stuff
    – Trudeau’s gone Freeland is totally different
    – Poliviere is literally Hitler!!!!!

  2. At first glance I thought the byline said “CBC Canada loses 43,000 jobs last month” and thought “Still not fast enough”.

    1. I had the same take on it, but it is too bad the CBC did NOT lose 43,000 jobs, A LOT fewer tax payer dollars would go to the CBC,

  3. Canada is just not skewing the numbers. Biden is trying to tell us the US added 372,000 jobs in June. That’s a neat trick when the unemployment percentage remained the same…which I might add is another bogus figure. With all the boarded up businesses and layoffs plain to the eye to see, it’s amazing that the unemployment percentage is 3.6% in the US. (sarcasm).

I’m convinced that the numbers are always juiced depending upon who is in a position to take credit.

    1. It was that way 40 years ago when PET set out to destroy Alberta’s economy through his NEP. Remember what Mark Twain said about lies and statistics.

      1. Apparently his idiot son is taking a second run at it.
This time its in the fascist style, slowmo, so the plebeians won’t notice.

If the idiot did not need to fill the gas tank of his plane, it would have been done already.

    2. We can burn your building down and afterwards you will employ 150% of the employees you had when you actually had a building. This is the liberal nitwittery learning from the success they’ve have had lying about temperatures and “climate change” for 15 years and applying it to everything else.

  4. I’m sure that all this economic “good news” that the Trudeau (and Biden) people have been blowing up our collective kilts is based on Nortel-style accounting. I’m looking for some serious restatements coming soon. Is it just me thinking this???

    1. Case-in-point: The US is already in a recession. but no one will admit it. The economy, under President Nitwit has no option but to contract.

  5. “Wage growth is going to be necessary, given how tight the labour market is,” Lange said.
“If wages don’t go up, then you’re essentially shifting income from the labour market to the firms that are selling products at higher prices.”
This particular ex-pert has obviously never tried to run a small business. ALL costs are going up, so the small business owner has to juggle cost of product sold and other associated costs (packaging, PPE as required, cleaning products, etc., etc.) with how much he/she can raise prices given there’s a supermarket down the way who can negotiate lower wholesale prices. And it’s not just the retail shops; professionals including vet clinics and doctors’ offices are facing increasing costs for supplies (have you checked the price of toner lately?). Saw for m’self that fairly basic protective gloves worn by medical practitioners of all sorts tripled in price. The less expensive alternatives were not available. And that was just one of many inputs into their practice; other firms (accountants, lawyers, etc.) have fewer inputs but still are experiencing inflationary presures.
The small business owners I know are very aware of the impact is having on their employees and are doing the best they can to give raises without running at a loss. These are not fun times.

  6. Well, the government promised extra funding for the faithful in the press.

    Who will be bribed now?

      1. Do they need money to trample grandmothers? Isn’t that itself a perk of the job?

  7. 43,000 lost jobs. Hell the country hasn’t regained the jobs that the governments destroyed with their fake pandemic, and are still destroying.

  8. I’m having some work done to my place and the contractor mentioned that his next job has been cancelled out of the blue. “Didn’t see it coming” the contractor said. Suddenly the guy just didn’t have the money anymore. My contractor went from “can’t find enough guys” to “laying off a whole crew” in one week. It can happen that fast. I think we are in for a rough winter. There has been a goods and services feeding frenzy due to the bottling up of the economy during covid. That is drying up and the world economy doesn’t look great.
