You can’t help but be intrigued by the outright display of identity politics. Biden did the interview with Jerry Harris because he was black and young. It was a kneejerk reaction to performing poorly with that demographic in the primaries. The interesting take away is that identity politics highlight the absolute opposite of MLK’s famous “…content of their character…” speech and focus on age and skin and sex.
Had one looked closely at the content of Harris’s character they would have likely picked up on his motivations. Instead, the Biden campaign didn’t look past the skin melanin content. That was their entire vetting process… While the right gets accused of racism on a regular basis…it is the Left who actually practice it consistently.
You have to wonder though, as Grok above has hinted; did his character and motivations even matter, or were they at least as big a drawcard as his colour, if not more so?!
