Coulda Had A Pipeline

Biden’s energy plan is toast. It got blown up. It shows Biden being outmaneuvered by our allies. The way it was done also shows that Europe knows this presidency needs to be pushed along—a lot. It was the clearest sign of the weakness exhibited by Biden. The gross incompetence is pervasive. Within earshot of reporters, you can see French President Emmanuel Macron telling Biden that the United Arab Emirates is already at capacity with oil production and that Saudi Arabia cannot produce much more either.

Biden was counting on these two nations to bail him out.

  1. On the first day of the Biden presidency he cancelled both the Keystone Pipeline and the expansion of the Mexican border wall.

    1. Biden cancelled nothing. The democrat communist committee that is running America did the dirty work as Biden does not know whether or not he is punched or bored.

  2. Biden’s energy “plan” is the same as Trudeau’s – to kill off the domestic fossil fuel economy and replace it with magic unicorn power. Governments benefit (temporarily) with higher tax revenue from skyrocketing fuel prices while destroying middle class savings through inflation. Let’s stop pretending the current economic death spiral isn’t exactly what they want. They won’t stop until we are all immobilized in our pods eating bugs. The changes that have already happened since Biden came into power and killed that pipeline are pretty frightening.

    1. Replace it with John Galt’s magical electrostatic generator.
Free energy right out of the air , better than unicorn farts.
Trouble is, it’s from a fictional character in a fictional book.

  3. It would be nice if everyone would stop pretending that Biden is doing anything other than read cue cards.
This is Obama’s 3rd term. And things are going precisely as planned.

    1. I would call this Obama’s fourth term as his weaponized agencies and media puppets undermining all attempts by Trump was his third term. His energy policies are identical to the Spawn-Fuhrer’s and based on mining the votes of the mindless masses in a culture blessed with peak energy ignorance. Reading the teleprompter is Biden’s greatest challenge and he’s not doing very well.

Both of you hit the nail on the proverbial head.

      PLANNED 1000%
…and it has been for Decades.

Those who own the World: Rothschilds – British Royalty – Gates etc…have been on this parade since I was a preteen. Hells bells, even Maurice Strong was already yappin about it in the mid ’60’s ffs….and later literally started the Climate Charade.

  4. Saw a bit of the interview CTV did with the U.S. ambassador to Canada. He stated that Keystone will not be considered again because its bad for the environment or something. He also actually admitted that he couldn’t answer most questions because he isn’t familiar with issues. He simply got the job because he’s a friend of Joe Biden.

      1. Canada will get the same. Trudeau is so stupid that he will follow the communist destruction of the west to a T

    1. Our American cousins–unlike the torpid, Canadian sheep, have a history of fixing their grievances through the barrel of a gun/cannon/take your pick. If there is to be U.S. Civil War 2.0–it won’t be North vs South–but conservative vs progressive…Methinks it won’t end well for the NYC Trans-Intersectional Brigade vs former US military Good Ol’ Boys from upstate NY.

      1. New York will starve when the good ole boys refuse to deliver goods into that cesspool.

  5. Biden has a cabinet chock full of incompetent West Wing LARPS who think every dire situation will have a favourable outcome and usually within an hour. Reality will slap that out of them in November. “It’s the economy, stupid”.
Breitbart says France are getting things ready to fire up a coal plant for this winter, so yeah, GreenJeans Macron might know what he’s talking about for once.
My goodness!!! Roe vs. Wade overturned…Germany and France revving up coal plants, everything old is new again.

    1. Burton….That France with 75% of its electric power coming from NUCLEAR is re-starting a Coal fired Generation plant…thats a surprising development…but I guess they too were somewhat dependant on Russian Gas.

      1. The UK has asked coal fired generators not to shut down in September as planned. And to keep running next year, and they will be excused from having to meet carbon targets too.

It just dawned on someone that France is having to close down old nuclear plants and was expecting to replace them with natural gas fired plants … but there is no natural gas, because just about every EU country has banned fracking. That connector with France that the UK has been relying on when the wind drops is going to go dead as France, if it has any spare capacity, will be feeding it to other EU countries.

  6. Problem is that Canada does not have that much surplus capacity to ship as raw crude. A new pipeline isn’t the problem. WE DO NOT HAVE THE REFINING CAPACITY in NORTH AMERICA right now. Sure we could add 900000 barrels of crude but we are short roughly 3 million give or take of refinery capacity. So Keystone doesn’t matter. What we need are new refineries and North America hasn’t built a new one since 1971 or so.
All of the existing ones have been rebuilt to expand capacity in many cases. But not a new one has been started from the ground up in almost 50 years. So for North America we are screwed for a long time as it takes a long time to build a pipeline and even longer to build a refinery.
Also under the green agenda a few smaller ones have taken off line to make ethanol etc. stupid decisions driven by idiots. And god forbids we get a hurricane or something really nasty that takes the gulf coast out of production. Then it will go from manageable to a bloody catastrophe.

    1. “… North America hasn’t built a new one since 1971 or so.”

Don’t disagree with your statement about inadequte refinery capacity in NA. But I seem recall something in the news maybe 5 or 6 years back about a new refinery that opened in Alberta.

I was just gonna say…the NEW (relatively), Diesel Refinery just north of Ft Saskatchwan…??

        1. Neighbour please remember upgraders serve to upgrade heavy oil into useful oil products not neccessarily recoverable oil that can be refined into jpl, gasoline or diesel fuels. The ‘Husky Asphalt Refinery in Lloydminster, AB is integrated with the Husky Upgrader in Lloydminster, Sask. which produces synthetic crude oil from heavy oil in the two provinces. The refinery produces asphalt products which are then transported to market. ‘ The same with other refineries, they can produce oil products. The last oil refinery built was in 1984, the Scotford Refinery. The current one built is the heavily subsidized Sturgeon Refinery at 79000 barrels per day of diesel etc production. This is a refinery but a less than 100000 per day one that does not move the needle. If north America had 10 of them well that would help.

Now explain how the USA was exporting product during Trump’s tenure. People like you should get facts before posting!

      1. Neighbour how long ago was that. Trumph was an era ago. USA does export oil but us oil production peaked at a little over 13 million and is just approximately 11.6 million. Us oil exports have decreased as well. Oil products are exported and imported depending on supply and demand in different states. Texas exports and west coast imports etc etc.

“At the beginning of last year, there were a total of 143 operable refineries in the U.S., with the “newest” one located in Douglas, Wyoming, constructed in 2007. However, the newest refinery with atmospheric distillation capacity greater than 100,000 barrels per day began operating in Garyville, Louisiana in 1977. That was 37 years ago. “ from article printed 2015. Small refineries open close all the time. Capacity utilization is the key.

        Also
U.S. refining capacity fell this year to 17.94 million barrels per day as of January 1, according to the latest EIA data—down from 18.09 million bpd on January 1 last year. U.S. refining capacity is now the lowest it’s been since 2014. Oil price.com

Maybe you should consider doing the same.

  7. This didn’t happen when there was a good man in the White House willing to fight the real enemies of western civilization, from Wall Street to Beijing.

  8. Not to worry … Bidinh will simply “pivot to Venezuela”. Like my “nuanced” State Dept. language? Oh wait! Venezuela nationalized their oil production, and have no idea what they’re doing … they can’t increase by 50 barrels /day … they’re completely incompetent (and out of spare parts) … they can’t do a damnned thing for Bidinh.

  9. And BTW … the REAL reason Bidinh won’t do anything to increase US oil/refining capacity? Hint: it has nothing to do with global warming. Nope. It’s pure politics. Political power. The Democretins operating this puppet-Presidency do NOT want ANY more $$$ flowing into the coffers of anyone associated with US Oil production. Because 95% of all people in the oil business are conservative … and give BIG $$$ to Republican candidates.

That is why Bidinh is asking anyone and everyone NOT in the US oil industry to produce more “planet killing” oil. Yes, Bidinh doesn’t give a shit about global warming … he only cares about starving Big Oil in the US of $$$. We are all being punished at the pump … because Bidinh wants to starve his political opponents of cash. That’s it.

  10. FJB. The Republican’s failure to impeach Biden for his failures is dereliction of duty.
