National Post- Finnish MP calls for boycott of Turkish kebabs in response to NATO block
In a statement, Mikko Karna urged “citizens to boycott Turkish holiday trips, Turkish kebab restaurants and Turkish-made cars until Turkey has given its approval to Finland’s NATO membership”.
At the heart of Turkey’s threat to stop NATO’s Nordic expansion is a clash of views over Kurdish political groups whom Erdogan views as terrorist organizations.
Put some poor slob selling kebabs outta business, because NATO. That’s how the west rolls nowadays.
All the poor slobs selling kebabs need to go home.
I suspect this will make Turkey dig in its heels even deeper.
Boycotting Turkish cars isn’t a real sacrifice.
Turkish holidays? I can see some people doing that. And it may be appropriate.
But Turkish Kabobs? That’s a bridge too far.
