  2. Whatever will I do, my mom is long dead and I crush bugs not eat them. Although these days I do not own much.

    1. I have a herd of Squirrels that visit daily so my bug eating isn’t a priority yet.
      Mind you, I’ve been finding lots of Earth Worms lately that could supplement with the bug eating.

      Thinking of possibly doing a recipe book…
      I have lots of rice…some condiments ingredients…hmmm.
      Na, would hate to have people looking around for those big juicy bugs.

The article starts off with “I hate the jokes and condescending comments about adult children living at home … out of financial necessity” and then quotes a Zillow rent index where “rent [has increased] 20 percent, since the pandemic began” yet the official government inflation rate does not show such high inflation.

    The government core inflation rate was calculated at 5% +/- for much of the pandemic, higher than the “goal” of 2% but nowhere near the implied 10% over 2 years. This is what happens when you rely on the government to calculate the bad news. It’s never as bad as it is (so says the government) but it’s always worse than it is (obvious to anyone who pays bills).

    1. I remember on particularly loopy student I had while I was teaching at Armpit College.

      He said one day that he had a dream he was going to win a major lottery and he was going to spend thousands of dollars on tickets. I think one of my colleagues talked him out of that tomfoolery.

  7. I do live with my mom or rather she lives with me.
    Eating bugs for her would not be a stretch and i do actually own stuff
