The Sound Of Settled Science

AP News;

Cleaner air in United States and Europe is brewing more Atlantic hurricanes, a new U.S. government study found.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration study links changes in regionalized air pollution across the globe to storm activity going both up and down. A 50% decrease in pollution particles and droplets in Europe and the U.S. is linked to a 33% increase in Atlantic storm formation in the past couple decades, while the opposite is happening in the Pacific with more pollution and fewer typhoons, according to the study published in Wednesday’s Science Advances.

NOAA hurricane scientist Hiroyuki Murakami ran numerous climate computer simulations to explain change in storm activity in different parts of the globe that can’t be explained by natural climate cycles and found a link to aerosol pollution from industry and cars — sulfur particles and droplets in the air that make it hard to breathe and see.

  1. What Blarney Science. And note they talk of Atlantic storms”, not hurricanes. And running a computer simulation is not science.

  2. The stupid is so deep, I got nuthin. There must be people out there with functioning brains that will sort the insanity out.

  3. Oh, horse shit.

And where’s the SDA rodent, telling us that all researchers are dead honest?

  4. AP and Sething Bore?
The character who styles himself Seth Borenstein..who has a decades old, long record of writing Climate Weenie tales for the Cult of Calamitous Climate…The guy who was coordinating with Team UNIPPC to correct the narrative or Truthy the Tale?
    Yup,he’s “Got the Science”..
I keep wondering of he was Bagdad Bob in his spare time?
Or whether he really believes the idiocy that he writes..
One has to remember that members of this cult, may actually be true believers…
In fact they have to be,because history makes a mockery of their panic.

  5. Really? I can fix that. This is doable.

Oh, and we should probably work in making that Ozone hole bigger since that has a cooling effect on the planet.

      1. Actually Robert there is. Ozone is formed by short wavelength EMR from sunlight. It is unstable, so if there is no sunlight, ozone is depleted. Like at the poles. In winter. So. Yes there is now, always has been, and always will be a hole in the ozone layer.

  6. I used computer models in my work and the predictive results are are generally are what ever the modeller wants. Look at the recent computer models for covid. None of them were right. We found this out fast as empircal data was arrived at fast at the end of the pandemic. The models were rubbish. But governments used them anyway to strengthen their political narrative.

With Climate none of us will be around to see if the models are anywhere close to the results that they are predicting, but they are great to spread fear among the masses to further political aims..

Computer models are not science as they predict whatever the modeller wants. Just look at the famous Hockey stick models bt M. Mann proves as always, GARBAGE IN = GARBAGE OUT

    1. I’ve done a lot of computer modelling myself. But I also wrote and debugged the code for it, so I had confidence in my results. How many of those “scientists” did the same?

  7. About 6 or 7 years ago I took the hurricane data of the last 80 years from the NOAA and analyzed it.

I had read about that before but wanted to verify for myself.

It turns out that there are LESS hurricanes now than in the past.

and the hurricanes are less powerful now than in the past ( on average )

So when the “top experts“ on global warming or a president or a prime minister or the United Nations says that global warming is causing more hurricanes, they are lying trough their teeth.

I saved screen shots of the many pages of data from the NOAA ( in my other very old laptop ) in case they would decide to delete it and replace it with fake data that supports the global warming scam.

The way they can make it sound hurricanes today are worse than they used to be is by telling us about the damage in dollars or the number of deaths, but that is cheating because today there is far more people who build far more structures, so when a hurricane hits a spot that used to have no humans and no houses and no hotels and no restaurants it causes more damage NOT because the hurricane is stronger but because there are people there now with expensive building, where there used to be nothing.

I am not a scientist, I am just a man with an above average IQ, and I love analyzing stuff, and the data is clear; there are now LESS hurricanes and they are less strong than in the past.

Global warming is a scam. A fraud. A lie.

    1. Congrats on your conclusion Friend. Mind you, an IQ of 101 is “above verage”. And 50% of people have an IQ below average, assuming a spherical horse (AKA symmetrical distribution).

    2. They are only lying trough their teeth if they know the data. I suspect most of them (all politicians who promote the fear) have never checked it out and they actually believe the BS. Thus they are not lying since they believe it to be true.

But they are wrong. And they are behaving irresponsibly.

My relatives who are true believers refuse to discuss the issue, refuse to look at the evidence, just take the fear mongers at their word and support the politicians who parrot the narrative. I get the impression that they very much suspect that the fear mongers are wrong and the “deniers” have the truth of it, but don’t want to have it confirmed, lest they might then have to vote for a conservative.

  8. I’m going to do my part to reduce Atlantic storms and remove the catalytic converter from my car.

      1. That and drill a hole in your fuel tank.
Brings new meaning to the phrase ” drill, baby, drill “.

  9. Gotta love those computer simulations. Next it will be human farts plus white men belching as a result of eating meat that contribute to Climate Change.

    1. Well, it is true that a good bowl of chili will make me fart up a storm.

  10. Well, that analysis sure puts a damper on that green energy crap. So, if we have dirty air and particulates, we get fewer hurricanes? Sounds like we really need to support gas guzzlers for a change.
What “scientist” dreams up this crap?
