With a little bit of luck, she will resign, or she will refuse and flounce out of his office, giving him the opportunity to fire her *for cause*. And no payout for her.
He cannot demote her, nor reduce her pay without triggering her golden parachute. But he can require her to implement the new corporate policies.

After all, it’s trivially provable that her actions had a predictable negative effect on the business’ value, and she’s on record as stating she was aware of the effect both before and after. That should nullify any contract she’s got.

Twitter is a propaganda tool of the US government, that’s why it has survived without ever making a profit. Musk called them out on their charade, and they had to sell or risk exposing the fact that a publically traded company wasn’t concerned with shareholders or the public pensions that had invested in them.
