So they can find no justification for implementing the EA. Whoop-de-frickin’-do. They didn’t have to convene another pointless, expensive gov’t committee to figger that one out. And, even if they do find no justification, who is going to hold Prinz Dummkopf to task? The Cons? The EnDeePee?

Exactly. There are and will be no real consequences for invoking the Act, especially now that Singh has signed away what little of his soul may have remained over to Justin in exchange for spending a whole lot more of our money.

Re Singh signing away his soul – have we seen the agreement? It would seem to me that if Singh wanted some real power he would not sign an agreement and tell Trudeau he would support him on a case by case basis. Much more leverage then.
That would have been best for increasing NDP power and influence. But Singh signed that power away. The base should be pissed.

Invoking the Emergency Act should result in both a judicial inquiry, and the fall of the government, either when they fail to get it to pass by vote, or when the act expires.
It should also convey personal liability for any rights violations that occurred.
Hangings first. Judicial inquiry next.
The emergency act was an act of the “Liberal” fascism.
The most they could legally do, was a parking ticket and a tow truck.
As all “good” fascists do, they incited and incited the truck drivers to get violent and the truckers denied their call.
The fascists then, out of nowhere made a traffic violation a federal crime, put people in prison for it and froze their bank accounts.
All in the name of “Liberal” fascism.
Then, the idiot in charge went to Europe to lecture about democracy.
Heh, the best propagandists of Germany of the 1930’s era could not make that kind of stuff up.

Complete lack of evidence? Not new. The CCFR is taking the gubmit to court over the gun ban. I’m not a lawyer, but as the case went, they explained that they requested the gubmint present its evidence for the gun ban. The gubmint declined. It claimed the evidence was too sensitive. Another (Liberal appointed) judge had to look at the evidence to determine if it was indeed too sensitive to be divulged. And you know what? She agreed!
So the gubmint is going to court and will not have to divulge its evidence (discovery) to anybody. A big FU to the proles. We’ll take your guns – and property- if we feel like it, and we don’t have to show squat. So I woun’t worry too much about evidence. The method by which they tracked all these Nazis, homophobe right wing mysogynists is a secret too important to reveal.
