The DeSantis Doctrine

You gotta hand it to a guy who convinces Democrats to die on the hill of defending perverted groomers talking about sex with little school kids.

DeSantis is now, as he slowly gains parity in popularity with Donald Trump, worse than Trump. They fear him because he does not have the mean tweets aspect that allows the left to attack him for something other than his actual deeds. They have to defend their freakshow agenda because he gives them nothing to change the subject to. And if they want to make it a fight over whether or not skeevy sex pests can have at your little kids, well, that’s a battle we’re delighted to fight.

But here’s the thing. They do want to fight over the bizarre and repellent pillars of modern liberalism. They do want to fight over whether perverts can groom your kids. They do want to fight over whether you can abort your kid 30 seconds before they’re born. They do want to fight over the need to strangle our energy industry so that you are paying $10 a gallon for unleaded. They want to fight over their desire to coddle criminals, let hobos defile our sidewalks, and send your kid to fight their war in Whogivesadamnistan.

They want to fight over a bunch of things that are awful, and far too many Republicans have shied away from not merely saying so but from actually doing something about them. Every GOP governor talks about wokeness or boys dominating girls’ sports. But far too many, like Kristi Noem, default to the Chamber of Commerce agenda and do zip. Not DeSantis. He not only wields power; he enjoys it.

  1. Holy shit these people are sick. Desantis, I hope , is going to destroy millions of them. The evil is beyond Biblical. Of course fully half the population will be onside with the perverts

    1. “The evil is beyond Biblical. Of course fully half the population will be onside with the perverts”

Hence, we have the Liberal Party of Canada, and the Progressive Party of Ontario.

    2. Kurt Schlichter never minces words, does he? One of my favorite writers for calling a spade a spade … and he is very right about DeSantis who appears utterly FEARLESS. I’d just like to know where DeSantis gets his campaign $$$? Who is he ultimately beholden to? That is the greatest thing about Trump. He isn’t financially beholden to anyone but the people.

    3. Go, DeSantis! Trump needs to back out. This guy is Trump but with some intellect and at least some of his frontal cortex still in working order.

  2. I really hope that Trump continues to draw fire up to the 2024 primary races, then bows out and throws his full support behind DeSantis.

    1. Johnboy Trump /DeSantis for 4 years, and then DeSantis (XXXXXX) for 8 years. That would be a 12 year cleaning stretch.

    2. @Johnboy – “then bows out and throws his full support behind DeSantis.”

Yup was thinking the same. Would love to see Trump as president again, but it’s probably best to pass the torch to a younger proven winner. Let the old leftist baggage rot in the past where it belongs, and let DeSantis inspire a wider reach beyond current Trump supporters which will all support DeSantis as well.

Trump has great value in any capacity, I’m sure he will figure out whats best.

    3. I agree Johnboy. He is aging.
Staying in just long enough to irritate the Dems and the media so they implode.

    1. Ontario John

…..The entire Canadian Body POLITIC in fact… from Big City Mayors on up the filthy slithering chain.

  3. Desantes has been a bright light, who successfully managed his State through the covid issues, without creating economic havoc. He is a good, clear communicator too, which is helpful. Good luck to him. Maybe the Canadians coming back to Ontario and Quebec have learned a thing or two about freedom and dangerous government control.

Critical race theory is a failed theory, and young children do not need school training about sex.

  4. In many cases, the quiet and disciplined approach is the most devastating. Trick your enemies into a trap, let them develop a false sense of security, then take them out in ways they cannot fight back against.

Any clowns who thought Trump was the worst is goin to have a very nasty surprise awaiting them.

  5. Ron DeSantis/Donald Trump Jr…w/Trump the elder as Secretary of State 2024!
    – Ted Cruz Energy Secretary
    – Ran Paul Attorney General
    – Tucker Carlson Press Secretary
    – Mike Lindell (Pillow guy) Election Integrity

      1. DeSantis could win the Election if they keep those Chinese Merchandise ships blocked in the harbor, not allowing them to unload the 40 million presidential ballots made up for Kamal Harris .

        Biden got 81,000,000 million votes.
        BULLSHIT !!!

        1. yeah it’s bullshit…
          81 million ballots were cast – that’s a fact…
whether those 81 million ballots were bona fide votes is “a horse of another colour.”
          i’m not a vet, but i know what a horse is. 🙂

      1. He was born in Calgary. He’s ineligible to become president, as he was born with Canadian citizenship.

        1. But his parents are both American, seconded to Calgary by some oil company. He’s still an American. This was sorted out many years ago when a politician was born outside the US to American parents (think dad was either diplomatic or military) and the determination was made that he was a “natural born” American anyway.

    1. Metal…

I agree with that all, but will defer to Thomas, Tucker is perfectly suited where he is.
I see no reason why Kayleigh McEnany couldn’t come back..??
      She was EXCELLENT… !!

But I’m sure should DeSantis actually go for the Presidential suite…he may well have someone just as Good.

  6. “They fear him because he does not have the mean tweets aspect that allows the left to attack him for something other than his actual deeds. ”

Eh, not really accurate. They will invent what they don’t possess. Standard procedure is to plant a story using the intelligence community and cut out media personalities. Then, when they require the leverage, sitting House members will open up an investigation using the planted stories as a basis for the investigation and the rest of the media gets in on the action. The fundamental basis it so that they can attack for something other than actual deeds. They did this numerous times with Trump (and are still doing it). But, arguably, they could have been much more successful in Trump’s case by simply ignoring him.

DeSantis is much more dangerous because he is polished, and somewhat likeable. He challenges the issue professionally. Trump challenges the issue immaturely. I’ve seen some press conferences where DeSantis called out specific reporters. He doesn’t belittle them. He forces them to support their positions without resorting to name calling like Trump. The Left is scared to death of debating based on the issues. Trump gives them an out. DeSantis doesn’t.

  7. Tough guy. The media doesn’t write his script.

    Just like our Conservatives. Right?

  8. “They fear him because he does not have the mean tweets aspect that allows the left to attack him for something other than his actual deeds. ”

No, they fear him more than Trump because, unlike Trump, DeSantis is knows how to govern and is shown he is both willing and able to exercise the levers of power. Trump was neither willing nor able to govern to the level of his rhetoric and he still doesn’t understand why he couldn’t and clearly can’t be bothered to learn.

The danger for the left and the establishment is that DeSantis might be able to actually do the things Trump only talked about. That’s why they are scared of him.

    1. Not a fair comparison, DeSantis is dealing only with the Tallahassee swamp, and the junior varsity media. Trump had all the alphabet agencies, the worst of the media, and a few hundred think tanks to contend with. I think he did admirably in ripping the cover off of it and showing people what was really there. Without Trump, there could not be a Desantis.

  9. “And if they want to make it a fight over whether or not skeevy sex pests can have at your little kids…”

See the problem – minimizing the attacks – normalizing the language.

These assholes are demented, insane and mentally retarded – they are not ‘skeevy’ or ‘sex pests’ – they want to put their dicks in any and all of your infant’s or child’s orifices – they want to tear your children’s skin and muscles – make them cry – hospitalize them – watch you suffer – and know that your child and family will never be the same.

Stop making this less than it is!

  10. DeSantis is steadily building his credibility. The Left is going nuts and firing blanks at him which only raises his profile.

He was vilified for acting against the Fauci doctrine but was proven right in the end – Florida did better than NY, for instance.

Agree that it would be great to have Trump stay in until the last minute and then “anoint” DeSantis.

    1. kjhales.

Kristi is A-ok in my books…..Leagues above pretty much anyone but Ron..and the new guy in Virginia.

That we could have some sitting politicians in this country with those kind of stones….?? And don’t bother with the Pierre P. bit…where was he the last 24 months..?? Fellating Justine like all the cons seem to have done and continue to do so.

  11. Saw a lot of Canadian license plates in florida this winter.
Escaping the lockdowns & restrictions. I’m sure none of them were
    liberals.

  12. That’s what’s so infuriating: The arguments are easy and devastating and these gutless wonder RINOS and CINOS curl up in a ball and cry instead of fighting.
FFS, if you can’t stand up and win the argument that boys are boys and girls are girls….

  13. The Progs are mental defectives and seething with rage.
Anyone who crosses them makes them even more insane.
And as noted by others here far smarter than I, DeSantis lets them hang themselves without being petulant or reactionary like the Donald.
The middle of the road liberals would be alright with DeSantis running/becoming Prez because they know the Democrat Cupboard is shithouse rat crazy and only devolving.
(The culture wars have only just started…)

  14. The sad thing is that we don’t have anyone like DeSantis.

Politicians and voters alike support this abuse of children.

  15. There are parallels to Canada. Pierre has a winning strategy in the economy, inflation, taxation and the debt. If he can stick to hammering on financial conservation and avoid the social bs distractions the paid press and the liberal opposition will throw at him, we have a good chance to win. I am afraid his natural pugnaciousness will get the better of him and he falls into the traps set for him. “It’s the economy, stupid” won Clinton the presidency and it can work here.
If Charest or Brown win, well Maverick or PPC as appropriate
