    Apparently there was a protest today on the hill. I watched a bit where the parliamentary police were trying to kick out a guy with a Fmapleleafck Trudeau flag. The jackboots are still there.

    1. OK, I hate to seem stupid, but how to find out about these protests in advance? I would have loved to participate in this one. I don’t do Facebook.

      1. I found out about purely by accident from a friend of a friend. We network simply by email. Our little group doesn’t use social media, so I don’t really know how to answer your question.

        1. And you know that PM BlackFaceMcNazi will try to press charges for “Incitement to Riot” or some other made-up excuse against any website through which it is co-ordinated.

      2. My short answer is I don’t know. But when you see 500 people at a protest we didn’t know about ahead of time that the government crushed with force two weeks ago I’d have to assume the government is in real trouble. I’m so glad those people are there!

    On the edge of this video I can see the uniformed thugs,that we used to call police,standing along a fence,enclosing the Parliament Building..
    I think.
    If so can people in Ottawa post more pictures please.

  12. With the exception of 2020 and 21, about once a year I would make a trip into downtown Ottawa with (and for) my wife.

    These trips always followed the same pattern. We would drive around and around trying to find an over-priced parking spot; perhaps take in an NAC concert or visit an exhibition at the National Gallery; dodge the bums to pay a ridiculous price for a mediocre meal; get to hell out of there as fast as we could thanking our lucky stars that we didn’t live there.

    Last night my wife was watching CTV Ottawa News (laptop and earphones so I don’t have to endure the drivelers) and I heard her exclaim ‘Well, it certainly won’t be me!”

    ‘What’s that?” I asked.

    “Oh, they’re talking about getting ready for the tourist season. And I’m just saying that their silly Mayor and his stupid voters won’t see my money anymore. And I hope gas prices keep everyone else away.”
