Put not your trust in earthly princes, once again it is a clash of two different blends of good and evil, I would prefer to see Putin come to his senses and retreat, after perhaps securing the integration of the eastern enclaves. Then we can get back to the previous task at hand, fighting globalism. Putin is not a lot worse than that, on a spiritual level there are just two different forms of evil, better to stay neutral beyond the obvious short-term concerns about security and loss of civilian lives.

    I would imagine that beyond Freeland, most Liberals just look at Ukraine as an excellent chance to increase their voter support base. That’s about the extent of their concern. This whole operation seems to have been a case of luring Putin to take this action, and we need to understand therefore that we are governed (in all NATO countries to some extent) by people who want to play around with nuclear war fire, just to advance some rather questionable agendas. Sure, Putin is a thug, but we knew that even before 2014 let alone before 2022. Let the Russian people take care of him if they wish. He wasn’t really doing us much harm.

    If the Russians do get into Kiev and into government buildings, you have to wonder if they will find any interesting evidence of Hunter Biden’s wrongdoing. I don’t really fancy dying in a nuclear holocaust just a day after getting proof of what most of us suspect, but that probably won’t happen anyway. If it does, it has been nice knowing you.

  36. The 2021 corruption index puts Ukraine at 122 and Russia at 136 out of 180 countries. That means there are 121 countries less corrupt than Ukraine. Canada is 13th.

    Zelensky has jailed journalists and his political opposition. The Pandora Papers revealed he has offshore accounts and is guilty of at best dodging taxes in his own country and maybe more. The eastern half of Ukraine is traditionally Russian.

    This is none of our business.
