  4. A few days ago, I made the comment about full-scale nuclear war resulting from lesser conflicts that got out of control, likening Prinz Dummkopf to a national leader who started something like that but didn’t know how to turn it off.

    After Monday, and incidents like this, I don’t foresee a nice, peaceful end to this any more. The fault will lie with HRH, though he will find a way to blame anybody else but him. His ego, his arrogance, his inherent incompetence has brought us to this situation.

    Mind you, whoever’s advising him to take such actions deserves an equal share of the blame for having encouraged him to do so.

  20. When I was a little girl my grandfather told me that I must never ever trust a policeman. They are necessary tools of social order but they must never be trusted. I asked him why and he described how he was at the Winnipeg General strike of 1919 and how he saw police brutalize protesters. The strikers did not accomplish their goal but they did go on to eventually form the predecessor to the NDP. And now today history repeats itself only the NDP are the ones keeping the oppressor in power.
