When I first became an Objectivist I followed Peikoff extensively. Nice to see he’s still around. I kind of lost touch with him but I never strayed far from his philosophy.
He’s a clear thinker. Every university should have someone like him in their philosophy department to act as counter weight to the nut bars in the Humanities.
The reason there aren’t any Peikoffs in the Humanities faculties is because the nut bars have been in control of them for the last 60 years. An Objectivist would never be allowed to attain tenure as they wouldn’t want undergrads discovering that the collectivism, nihilism and irrationality wasn’t a necessary facet of the modern philosophy department curricula. Rand’s philosophy is a cure and they represent the disease.
Fact is … folks EVERYWHERE in the USA and Canada are ALL Californians now. With the high tech (and low tech drop box) theft of the last presidential election … we have become a defacto ONE Party Totalitarian Govt. And -Canada has utterly lost any hope of EVER electing a conservative Govt. EVER again. So … laugh at the poop-covered streets and endless homeless encampments at your own peril. They’re coming to your town.
The only way back will be bloody Revolution, I’m afraid.
