  1. While the truckers are trying to stay apolitical – I think its time for them to get political and start the Freedom Party – set up candidates in every riding and put together a simple platform.

All candidates would sign a pledge to support the platform unequivocally.

I think they would win in a landslide

    End any and all mandates
    Pro energy (prosperity)
    Pro pipeline
    Exit Paris Accord
    Eliminate Carbon Taxes
    End media subsidies
    Defund CBC

  2. Dear Candice,
It was the year of fire
    The year of destruction
The year we took back what was ours
It was the year of rebirth
    The year of great sadness
    The year of pain
    And the year of joy
    It was a new age
It was the end of history
It was the year everything changed
    The year is 2022
The name of the place is Canada

    1. Candice what Iamcanadian means to say is (correct me if I am wrong) :”Lead, follow or get the fuck out of the way”.

  3. Now you know why she’s “Interim.”

They’re wearing the wrong mask; it should be a kabuki mask.

It’s a conservative American thing. It’s all Kabuki.

  4. One could be excused for believing that Canada is a functioning democracy.
That’s delusional. It’s a system of corruption greased with cash. Few patriots in office, and those that are are marginalized.
Our problems lie in its political framework. Addressing its framework will never be addressed by electing yet another federal party (PPC). Those who think so have their noses to close to the canvas.
Back up and look at the whole picture. Study the history.
Changing the framework lies in the provincial realm. I’m happy to see pressure belting put on lying Kenny.
It should be applied hard on Moe too.
Canada could move towards greatness if “equality” of the regions were obtained. Sadly we have no leadership in the west that will take the lead, and yet this is where any substantive effort must emerge. The convoy starting in the west is a clue.
Westerners need a separatist movement because it will only be through a threat of independence that central Canada will come to the table. Only when they think we might get out will they do anything to keep us in.
Perhaps we have an awakening taking place.

“If you want to get a knot undone you have to push on both ends of the rope!”

  5. I still can’t figure out if politicians don’t understand the scope of the hornet’s nest they’ve opened up or if they perfectly understand and are trying to find different ways to shut it down without actually stopping all of the mandates. NOBODY with any degree of common sense trusts ANY Canadian politician any longer so such an appeal from her is beyond stupid.

  6. Utterly tone deaf. “Bring down the blockades for the sake of the economy”.

Hmmmm…. Somehow I missed that clause in The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Where was “for the sake of the economy” for the past 2 years while not a single CPC hack spoke up for our right not to be injected in order to work, travel, and assemble freely as Canadians.

  7. Your friends are dropping like flies.

Just like with any whiny child, the adults will eventually step and say enough.

I am sticking with Max as well, so JT can stay as PM forever.

  8. I just sent the following message to Candice Bergen and my MP

    Dear Ms. Bergen
I just watched a portion of your speech on CPAC regarding the current situation in Ottawa and across Canada.  As a long-time member of the Conservative Party, I am writing to tell you how disappointed I was to see you fall into the government’s trap.  You have now clearly put the onus of the protesters, and taken pressure off the government to find a peaceful solution.  I am fearful about what will happen.  If you had just called for the removal of blockades at the border crossings, I could understand that.  Border crossings, railways, and international bridges are clearly critical infrastructure to the success of our economy.  However, a few streets around Parliament Hill hardly fall into the same category.  This protest would never have happened but for the insane policy, at this late stage of the pandemic, of mandating vaccine passports for cross-border truckers.  This is entirely on the Trudeau government, and could have been reversed easily.  Instead, as we have seen over and over again for the last two years from all of our governments, the decision was made to double-down.  Anyone could see how damaging and unnecessary this policy was going to be.  Truckers have been hailed as heroes for two years, and there has been no evidence that I have seen to tie infections or outbreaks to unvaccinated truckers.  You say that their message has been heard, but has it?  Where is the evidence?  Perhaps the message has been heard in some provincial or state capitals fearful of upcoming leadership reviews or elections, but where is there any evidence of an olive branch or any flexibility on the part of the federal government?  I have been voting for a long time, and have endured several governments and prime ministers with whom I have disagreed, but I have to say that this is the most destructive and divisive government I have ever witnessed in this country, and the contempt I feel for this prime minister is beyond words.  They and he must be held to account for what they have done to us, particularly over the last two years.  If the truckers back down now, as you have urged, without gaining anything, then the government will have won a huge victory and this dystopian hellscape will continue.  And while they are gloating over their victory,  nothing that you say or do in Parliament will mean or accomplish anything.  You and your caucus have the ability to put the blame where it belongs.  I urge you to do this and stand up for those of us who have almost nothing left but despair for the future of this country which we love.

  9. I honestly can’t believe it. But I guess I have to because I’m looking at it.

Grasping failure from the jaws of victory.

  10. Max & the P.P.C. is our only way out of the cancerous Lib, C.P.C, NDP and Green parties to a free Canada.
We must do what we can to get P.P.C. candidates into the house, voices of conservative reason are desperately needed before too many Canadians forget what having non-government approved freedom feels like.
I believe the “old days” will return, but it will require a fight to get them back.

    1. Don’t know how old you are Tyme but I’d suggest you don’t know your history or are willfully ignorant of it.
Have you not heard of the CCF, Progressive’s, NDP, Social Credit and Reform movements that evolved into “federal” political parties. And failed!!
PPC will not bring peace in this country of discontent because it can not be achieved in the federal arena.

  11. I never though Candice was that fcuking stupid. The caucus should vote her useless ass out of the leadership. Why do all these prima donnas fear the working class? I love our champagne socialist NDP shitting on blue collar workers while orally gratifying big pharma. The Liberals and commies have gone full corporate state Nazi and Candice Bergen is carrying their water.

    1. I am pretty sure the caucus met and agreed to go this route. Candice is just the messenger. I am sure lots of bankers and other prominent business people have been ringing the phone off the hook as they see the borders closed and the economy at risk. The CPC is beholden to a lot of people but none of them are their constituents.
Scott Moe got the message at the same time and today announced that the truckers should go home. I would love to read the phone bill at the end of the month.

  12. Another argument for single term limits is it prevents conservative politicians from the Stockholm Syndrome of the Ottawa / Toronto / Montreal Laurentian elite culture which controls both the Liberals and Conservatives and the media.

  13. I don’t think the geniuses running the Conservative party understand that they are almost as despised as the Liberals and the media.

    1. Turdo and his rats never betrayed me – I always knew what they were and they’ve stayed true to form.

Now, the Conservatives on the other hand …

  14. I hate being right all the time.
I told you, these people are slime, part and parcel of the uni party. By now all you die hard cons have got to be feeling a little stupid.
The key should have been the Ezra/ Lewis interview as per the” Our next PM” post
Weasel words when asked a serious question on removing unlimited power from the government. Listen to the interview again from the five minute mark.
People need to wise up. These people are not your friends.

  15. L – CPC faking Solidarity with the Freedom Convoy for a few days. For a brief
moment Canadians thought there would be a “Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition”
in Parliament. No, now back to single party government w/5 different names.

Bergen et al, will not defend the Constitutional Rights of the citizens, not in
Parliament, not on the streets of Ottawa or anywhere in Canada. In effect,
the C.P.C. aligns with P.M. Justin Trudeau’s project to make “Canada the first post nation-state!”.

The truckers and their supporters are putting their Life, Liberty and Property
on the line, to defend Canada, as a free and democratic society. Something they have to do, because no federal, no provincial political party is doing the
job they are politically and morally obligated to do.

The C.P.C. are tacitly supporting a Trudeau regime para-military response
to the Freedom Convoys. Something they may have been able to deter by putting their liberty on the line along side the truckers of the Freedom Convoy.
The name Conservative has been so watered down. It has evaporated.

The Freedom Convoy is the voice of Canada, which is why the Canadian flag
is their flag, waved so proudly by supporters from coast to coast. It has not been so honoured since the 1967 Centennial celebrations. Those celebrations proudly honoured the sacrifice of the pioneers and the veterans in the service of Canada.

Sovereign citizens delegate their power electing their representatives. They don’t relinquish it. That is fundamental to British Liberty, which even Pierre
Trudeau referred to in his writing about the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Max Bernier’s view of the CPC being morally politically bankrupt, sadly true.

No institution is any better than the character of the people who make it up.

    Hold the line…

  16. I’m starting to think that the dragging heels on mandates is precisely the tool the stokes more chaos and division that is required by Globalists. It is a full time job maintaining the level of hate and division for the entirety of the political/media class in the USA.
Now we are getting the same rift here and the political/media forces seem to want to stoke it to dangerous levels too.
Is it coincidence we are being directed down the same path as the US, or is this a cultural feature for countries who had enjoyed a lot of freedom previously? Australia could be included in this as well.

  17. I recall asking Bergen a question at a small Manning conference in Winnipeg. She gave a half hearted answer on the dairy cartel and then had her assistant shout, “No more questions.” But I just shouted that much more in return.

    Quite the politician!

    So keep honking!

  18. Sadly Greg all it takes is a tiny bit of “conservative” rhetoric to appease and attract most.
Thus the growing loyalty to the PPC.
Don’t get me wrong. I like what he says. But until I hear it said from the PPC that constitutional amendments is part of their agenda to address the inequities in Canada it all rings hollow.
Remember Mulrony. Remember Manning. Remember Harper. I do.
    What’s the definition of insanity?

  19. She wants a clear path set to end the alleged ’emergency’ and its draconian rules, in return for an end to the protest.
We had a clear path two years ago – “two weeks to flatten the curve” is pretty clear – this is all over in two weeks, they said.
They keep moving the goal posts. Over and over and over again.
Now NO ONE BELIEVES GOVERNMENT ANYMORE.
And people don’t trust the media who have taken their government payments and become government propaganda shills.
Candice is taking a fatal step into the clown world of . . . “We’re from the government and we are here to help.”
It’s time to clean house. Every floor.
First step, ban political parties (they are the root of corruption), and end government funding of media.

  20. Well Max retains my vote. 2 years of smashing the little guy down with the lockdowns, but when the big corporations get threatened the CPC jump ship.

  21. Listen to the whole speech. While I can’t see it working, I think it puts her in a position to work with the protestors even so. “You’ve made your point and we will fight for you, but you’re hurting your fellow Canadians now.” Which isn’t wrong.

    1. “…but you’re hurting your fellow Canadians now.”

      Wah.

I have no fellow Canadians. This shithole of a country has been dead to me for years. I have fellow countrymen who are standing up to the tyranny. If you are not in support of the protest, you are part of the problem. Get out of the way of those who are working towards a solution.

  22. Really, someone needs to get a water sample from the cpc lunchroom. There’s got to be something in it. Some decent people get there and they turn to mush!

  23. Stool is gone but the globalists that run the Con Party, the same assholes that told Stool what to say and what to think are still in charge and now they’re telling Candice what to say and what to think… Globalists!
I don’t vote Liberal and I don’t vote for Liberal#2… and I certainly don’t vote for Globalists so I just made another donation to the PPC and they will have my vote again… if there is a country to vote in… very doubtful
The Cons are a joke, they want to lose and they are very good at it. Globalism has destroyed this country.
Go Truckers… Fuk the political class…Revolution is here.

  24. It took the Conservatives less than a week to screw up. Definitely the Stupid Party.
Goodbye Conservative Party membership and donations.
    Hello, Max.

  25. Candice, Candice, Candice you just had to go full Douggie, you NEVER go full Douggie!

What were you thinking? You want desperate people to go home? Because they’re inconvenient? They’re desperate, they’re putting their livelihood on the line. They tried to talk to Douggie but Douggie clogged up Moronto like his cottage toilet and did not let them in. So they went for the next target.

Don’t go there girlfriend. Ask Erin where it leads. You were doing well until now. But you just can’t mix 90% of jam with 10% of shit and expect that it will be mostly jam. You had tons of political capital and goodwill going in, don’t burn it all in one day.

See all those inbred Maxipads shitting themselves with glee? That same cretins who are disappointed that truckers did not get in a fight with cops and martyred themselves for cretins’ cause. When they’re high fiving one another in retarded “I told you so” joy. That means you fucked up sugar tits.

The genie ain’t going back in the bottle. The bottle is smashed. Face the reality or let someone else lead.

I’ll let it slide once if you don’t fuck up like this again, but FFS think before you flap your gums next time.

    Honk! Honk!

  26. This is stupidity.

They’re hiding something big and/or moving into ‘Lil Kimmee territory.

  27. Yeah, this happens with every so called leader.
They are free to talk when the going is easy, it is a lot and in great a lot different when the apparatchiks, ideologists and assorted low life scum that runs the political parties gets hold of them.
They fold like a wet rag.
The lady, only a week ago or so supported the truckers.
It’s over, the swamp got hold of her and now she is with the dark side.

It is rather unfortunate that things got as far as they got with the truckers.
Of course the idiot politicians know they can stop it like right now if they agree to support the ideas of the truckers.

Tuckers must understand that the idiot in charge is incapable of understanding anything that is going on, it is the Butt character that is doing all the damage.
He is not going to resign. He does not understand a damn thing that is happening.

Some years ago Letterman would have the deli guy next door to go around town and talk to people, asking questions and making comments that Letterman instructed him to say into his earpiece.
The Butt character is doing the same to the idiot.

The situation is a complete mess, the idiot politicians are living in their never, never land of nothingness and can barely understand what is going on.
The plebeians of this country were always so polite, taking all the shit from the idiots and suddenly shit happened.
